but the value of the law is lower than the esoterics, is like saing that Doman gear cost the same as AF2 gear
I want to get the words "there is no such thing as a cap on DPS, more DPS is always good" tattooed across my chest
"sigh" nvm you aren't getting the point probably never will....point is eso will be given out for the same amount as law, and the gear will also be costing less, which is also in the patch notes. No longer replying after this.

Friend/recruitment code for special items and things (use before paying first sub) RACN78W5 (updated) info on items here http://sqex.to/Cz9 code is entered via the mogstation.
This is true but a healers main role is the health and well being of the party members their first priority is keeping everyone topped up with most of the fights now having large aoe burst damage, a healer dpsing is not an option...maybe during the bits of fights where the boss is not dealing massive spike damage the healer can dps.
Like i said like in Ravana ex or Final coil...not in every fight, a healer should not be kicked from a party because they did little to no dps.
Extra DPS to speed things up is always nice.
However, healers *needing* to DPS to pass checks or to kill things in a reasonable amount on time...should not be a thing (outside of the cutting edge of early progression raiding). Same for tanks. And you see this too often. DPS really do need to stop being so damn lazy and do their job.
Oh, yeah, don't get me wrong, I definitely agree with this. At the same time, however, I'm not going to lower my DPS on purpose, or flat-out refuse to DPS (as long as you have the opportunity for it of course, without placing the party in danger) just because someone in a group isn't pulling their weight. If a wipe messy run or wipe occurs, however, due to a messup in the DPS department outside of cutting-edge content, I agree that it is mainly the damage dealers' issue.Extra DPS to speed things up is always nice.

in cutting edge raids.... ppl arent lazy :/ , just not geared enough to make the dps check , so tank and healers dpsing help push that phase or kill the boss. Lazy dps dont make it pass DF raids...no1 will want a lazy dps...nor heal or tank for that matterExtra DPS to speed things up is always nice.

and once geared or on farm ....both tanks and healers deal even more dmg , since u know the encounter and tanks dont take as much dmg as before and your heals heal for more so letting a tank drop to 7k is ok since u only need 2 heals to top ...when before u needed 3 before tank buster ect
they admitted that "outside of the cutting edge of early progression raiding", which ideally is the only place you should have required healer dps. I think they were pretty fair in their statement. And yea I agree with both of you - DPS can be lazy in some post-cutting edge raids because they know healers will compensate for them.
It makes perfect sense, lower damage means harder to hit high DPS checks. Even non raid fights like Odin and Titan proved that anything reducing DPS at certain times was a very bad thing to do. 3.2 is going to be a interesting patch because of the changes to several classes. Gray areas of the game are going to be flirted with for a time being and only time will tell if things work out for the best..... That makes no sense. When has playing a song ever caused a wipe? I've never seen it myself - I don't even know how that'd be possible in non-hardcore content. If a party wipes just because a Bard turned on Mage's Ballad, I think the issue lies with the group itself rather than just the bard.
