    Monk's already a well-requested DPS, though, especially if it has an especially high (skill-gap or ilvl) lead over the other DPS. The redundancy of the INT down debuff between Del and DK was usually too small of an issue to forgo their individually high dps. (Though at the same time, I wonder why they still haven't changed Delirium to allow it to at least be present at the same time as Dragon Kick, without stacking.)

    Monk still gets no TP adjustments, relying on between-phase Purification, or QoL changes. Same to DRG, which at 2.4 GCD, is a substantial TP hog itself.

    So many of these changes (see: AST) just seem really half-assed. A lot of them I'm grateful for, but just, as a whole... kind of sketchy.

    By "MNK/PLD/WAR should be a pretty interesting combo", I mean because of the PLD buffs and the supposed change to a more defensive meta, we'd see an interesting tradeoff with Reprisal vs RoH + DV + Shield + Cover(? Maybe?). MNK's DPS increase just makes it a stronger pick on top of bringing Mantra and the possibility of soaking hard hits w/ Fist of the Earth.

    Is no one concerned that they chose to not consider helping in the form of magic resistance, TP management, and AoE damage? The main thing that DRK offered over PLD for the MT position this patch was a better toolkit for magic damage. If Midas is magic heavy this could repeat. Reducing TP costs by 10 isn't going to solve their longevity problem over very long fights. Nothing was changed about their abysmal AoE or any kind of synergy between Flash and Circle of Scorn? Yes a few 10-20 increases to potency are nice but the class has more fundamental issues that permit them from getting raid spots and desirable groups besides their damage output.

    AoE damage will probably still be an issue.
    Reducing the TP cost of Fast Blade is a huge improvement over TP management, and we'll probably replenish more of it now that stance dancing and self healing is eased.

    As for magic damage, it's more a flaw in the raid design than in the end, probably intended to put the brand new DRK in a better spotlight. I suppose Midas and the next raid will be much more balanced around Physical vs Magical.

    Shield Oath gets a emnity boost! o.o... more potancy for arrgo combo & dot combo! o.O... oath swap doesn't interupt combos, faster celmen's & self-veiling! O.O welp SE congrats u just made my day... my only complant is I wish u could have just made the origional coil gear dyable rather than craft-dyable but quess I got a reason to use my 8mil gil now since I'm to far behind in crafting to dare give a crap (unless u make it so its in the craft menu for those without book 3-4 then my only words shall be "TIME TO DIE COIL"... might finaly get the guts to learn/beat T9)

    unfortunately no changes to living dead

    tp cost changes are nice

    PLD changes look good, though there will be still a moderate gap between DRK/WAR mt damage and that of a PLD, but it seems fair seeing how simple PLD is

    These changes are very good, but I can also understand how they might be seen as not enough. Paladins are now at least competitive with DRK, which is a big step in the right direction. They do need to nerf WAR somehow, and/or make changes to PLD/DRK to make PLD/DRK a viable endgame combo (because even with these changes, you are still very likely to need a WAR for your group to succeed).

    Can we also talk about the flat 6.25% MT DPS boost PLD is getting without the ability changes? That's pretty epic, if you ask me.

    Don't think you're getting why DRK was preferred over PLD for Gordias. PLD literally couldn't do A4S in less gear. If both can do all the floors with various advantages and disadvantages, possibly having one edge out slightly over the other, then it just means that people will want the better job but will take either. It's not perfect, I'd prefer if PLD/DRK were viable, but it's not going to be the same situation as Gordias unless they somehow messed everything up again.
