LotA / CT / WoD, EX Primals in Mentor Roulette

Skimming through the patch notes, I've noticed the old 24-mans are going to be part of the mentor roulette, along with all the old EX Primals.

Does this dissuade or encourage anyone to use it or not? I realize hitting that mentor roulette button means that you should be ready and prepared for a learning party, but heading into something like EX Ifrit is a fairly large time investment that can lead to a lot of frustration if it's you and 7... well, people that can't follow directions.

On the other end, it might help lower the insane queue times for the old 24-mans (which I'd love to have a normal roulette for).

I'm pretty surprised to see those in there. I'll still try Mentor Roulette but likely only on days where I have a lot of time.

I'm curious if the roulette will take into account whether or not the Mentor has cleared the content synced before placing them into a party for the ex-primals.
Most of them I've only DPS'd while synced so I'm going to need to do some research to properly explain what the other roles need to watch out for.

I have a feeling the ratio of people qualified for mentor to new subs will skew things towards groups being like 7 mentors and 1 new guy(or 3/1) the majority of the time.
Especially with mentor roulette basically being a guaranteed new guy bonus, people will be hitting it up like crazy

I can get LotA/CT/WoD, 'cause those need some life back in them. But the EX primals... wowie.

Yeah, EX Primals...that's a bit scary. I'm not sure I'll queue for them if that's the case. Thornmarch EX and Striking Tree EX in particular were not fun at all for me back at 50. It's hard to convince me to even do them unsynched.

I'd have gladly queued for Crystal Tower... but the possibility of getting Titan Ex... Yeah, no thanks. I don't even want to touch that unsynced.

That's the whole point. It's not supposed to be a free tomes roulette. You go in to help people.

Now I wonder if such content has to be unlocked before you can do the mentor roulette or if it's just things added to the roulette that can be picked?

I like teaching people so yeah it's fine with me.
Don't really see the problem...you were already going into Mentor Roulette with the idea you're probably going to be teaching people.

If anything I hope this dissuades people who were going to use the roulette for quick queuing and not actually trying to help people.
