    Circlets, Crowns, Visors ( A Rant )

    Short rant, here goes:

I am tired and bored of all these lackluster head slot designs. Can the art team really not come up with something more exciting than yet another circlet, or a visor that covers your eyes and nothing else?

I get it, the characters in this game are beautiful and some players may want to see them, but that's what the "hide helmet" option is for! In actuality, most people hide or glamour over these sad excuses for head slot items anyway, as they not only look ugly in most cases, but also clip into most hairstyles.

I like the design of the Allagan Helmet of fending, the Dreadwyrm Hood of Healing and the Gordian Hood of Aiming/Scouting. Why can't we have more hoods/hats/helmets? Why is it always circlets and visors? End rant.

A lot of the 51-59 dungeon gear is helms hats and hoods (if not all. I'm actually struggling to remember a circlet or crown from any of those dungeons). The i185 dungeon gear was also all hats, and I think the only i160 dungeon circlet was for Healers. And of course, the non-mage Gordian headgear.

Then there's all the older headgear, most of the non-mage being helmets and hats.

So...we're a bit due for more circlets and crowns for non-mages.

I think the game offers a good variety of head gear. It's probably just that the ones you aren't particularly fond of stick out in your mind more. Last patch offered lots of robust helmets (none of the sky pirate sets had a circlet or similar design, lots of the dungeon gear had hats...some with masks too) and Heavensward as a whole has had a lot of full head gear (like the Halonic tanking and ranged sets).
