Am about to be level 50 on all crafts what gear should i go after to help me level?

Just as the title says im about to be level 50 on all my crafts, but wanted to know what gear i can make myself to help me level to 60? would it be a waste of time to go after the artisan apron? i also maxed out my ixali beast tribe so i can get the gloves

I would just hit 51 by making the 1 star materials (darksteel nugget, spruce lumber, rose gold nugget, etc.) and then work on making the level 51, i115 gear HQ.

If you really really want to, get the Lucis tools - they're gonna last you to 60 - but don't bother with the rest of the intermediary level 50 gear.

The Artisan's Apron isn't worth bothering with anymore. You should aim for the Artisan's Gown full set instead. It's significantly easier to acquire, cheaper and will carry you through until level 53 easily (55 if you want to push it). Likewise, the Lucis tools are only valuable for collecting. While they are the equivalent of a lvl 55 main hand, the gil needed just isn't worth it in the long haul, especially since you'll quickly be replacing them.

A better investment is to get the aforementioned Artisan's Gown and do your Grand Company turn ins and use the EXP manuals you acquire from craft quests. You can than either craft the Holy Rainbow set or - as is my preference - push ahead to the Ramie set, if only to save a little gil. Weapons you can craft along the way at a much lower cost than buying any off the Market Board.

Don't be afraid to buy white 51 tools from NPC when you hit that. It's still a big boost above what you have and can bump you into making better ones for yourself.

Also don't be afraid to buy NPC items for GC turn-ins if you can't make them yet. Sometimes GC asks for higher or lower leveled items, and if you're most likely to just NQ anyway at your current stats, it's quicker and easier to just buy it.

Don't waste your time with lucis tools or artisan gear unless you want them for glamour (lucis tools hilt on your back, kinda nice looking for some).

Huge waste of time otherwise and the time you spend getting them could just go towards leveling faster.

I said to buy white 51 BSM in order to make your own 51s. You're not getting HQ tools out of your basic lv50.

I said to buy GC turn-ins only if they're asking for things above what you can HQ at your current gear.

Pre-50 you can be in pure NQ and always 100%.

50-60 you can be in full level-appropriate HQ and still hit randomly between 20%-100% after RNG decides to constantly screw you on hastys and lack of good procs. If you want HQ, you need to get about half your mats HQ for the guarantee. Pre-50 you just quicksynth everything and screw HQ mats.
