So... someone came into my FC house recently and started harassing members of the guild. My options were to: close the house to the public and wait for them to log off, or leave the house open to the public and let them come in and continue to harass the guild. This is of particular interest because my FC house is open to the public for a reason: we run an RP restaurant/resort, which ceases to function if people can't actually come to it. More importantly, the one recourse I currently have... locking the doors... is insufficient to remove characters who are creating a negative play experience because it does not actually remove them if they're already there.
Adding a ban list that removes characters from the housing plot entirely and deny them entry on a per-character basis would at least be a step in the right direction. Obviously reporting the character is a necessary step as well, but the effects of reporting a character are delayed, and I need a more immediate remedy. If I can ban a character from the house, they can make a new character, but by then, hopefully, customer support will be on top of it and ban the account. And while they can continue to harass from outside the housing plot, it creates a safe zone inside the house where the harassed individuals, and my customers, can relax without someone interfering in their enjoyment of the game and of my establishment.
