Not that I am aware of. Generally questions about storage are ignored as if there is no problem. This has been a problem since day 1 regarding Rings.
Players with all class already only have two main hand slots left now. Which after the new classes, Red Mage and Samurai, are unlocked there will be insufficient inventory to change class; let alone work on a relic. This will have to be addressed when they release the new classes and not before.
My bigger concern is with rings storage. Two gears slots to fill, same amount of storage space for everything with only one slot.
Although I will say I recently cleared some gearsets which left my main hand storage in much better shape.
But you have less variation by rings, primary just the mainstats+crafter+leveling. 12+x
I'd personally be happy if they separated the war/magic and land/hand armories so they were separate. Never quite understood why they needed to mix the two. It would sure free up a lot of space for things and make glamour a lot more fun.
Rings don't bother me too much. Weapons bother me a lot. I'm working on multiple anima weapons and it's rough when I have better weapons already for some jobs that I don't want to dump on a retainer. I don't have the PVP weapons because I have yet to figure out how it makes any sense to carry them and shuffling things between my inventory and armoury chest each time I want to change equips is as awkward as can be with the current interface. Speaking of which, it would be nice if we could flip between inventory and armoury chest on all screens, not just some. I have a bunch of nice-looking weapons I wouldn't mind carrying for photo opportunities or as alternates for certain content but there's just no way.
As long as they keep making money from retainers i doubt they'll increase any sort of inventory space.
I think this is a little more severe, though; because weapon is linked to class you can't actually freely swap between jobs if there are more jobs than slots. You have to fiddle around with a retainer which isn't really the ideal user experience for changing roles on the fly in Diadem or crafting items across multiple disciplines. It will be essential that they fix this in future expansions for obvious reasons, but even now it's ridiculously tight if you are levelling a new job and want to keep multiple weapons available, or if you're using different weapons for one job according to the content.
