SE team always say that they listen to our feedback, and while I think it is true even though I feel that lately it's a bit less... I think that listening is great but I'm not sure that the forum is the best place.
Most of the time peoples only come to forums when they have complains, so most of the threads are asking to nerf this, change that... though they are a few interesting post drown in the flow.
Adding to this that the game is also available on console, I feel that the peoples giving good/bad feedback on the forum are really a low percentage of the gaming population.
So I feel that the forum is really not the best place to know if the suggestions provided are what the majority of the community want.
One thing that I would really like to see is an in-game survey system, this would allow to touch all the real players.
I've played others mmo and some had that kind of system, and I think this is really a nice idea to ask the community what they like, don't like or even sort the content of the game from their most favorite one to their less favorite.
Like this, the dev team could maybe use the results of these surveys to prioritize where to put the resources.
To motivate the community to answer these surveys, you could provide some small rewards and to make the survey more relevant, maybe limit the participation to only one per account.
And add maybe others restrictions depending on the question, like if you do a survey on the tank class, if the player don't have at least one of the class leveled-up, there is not point to ask the feedback.
An other feature that could be neat to have, is an in-game “most wanted feature” where SE could provide suggestion of features they are thinking of adding to the game and then the community would vote for the feature they want the most.
This functionality could be even extended so player could create suggestions, but in that case some restrictions should be put in place so peoples can't spam the MWF system.
Then the most voted feature(s) would let know SE what the community want.
I think both theses features could help SE get more relevant feedbacks from the real playing community.
Of course I don't think the whole development should resolve around this, but it could at least help prioritize some features over others.
What do you think about this?
