New smartphone app?

Any recent news on this? I got a lot of use out of FFXIV Libra and really enjoyed being able to access loot drops/craft recepies/character info whenever. I'm hoping we get some more features on top of the nice things the Libra app has, like a node timer or a timers menu :3

Libre Eorzea does contain update results for HW. I'm looking at it right now under Duty>Dungeons>Heavensward>The Great Gubal Library, and it just generated a list of all the Sharlayan items that might possibly drop from the Demon Tome's treasure coffer. I doubt it'll do much more going forward.

SE appear to have been working more on the Final Fantasy Portal App, which I only learned about a week ago. I did manage to get Final Fantasy II [Portal Version] for free on iOS (it was only through 14 Feb, though). It may still be available for free on Android for the rest of this week, as they had issues earlier. Revenue generation is where Apps work best.

The portal app is worthless.

It litterally just gives a download short cut to Libra Eorzea and the other apps.

(Thus "Portal" being ironically accurate)

Would be nice if they'd add back the "log in" feature that they took out of Libra Eorzea considering they don't seem to have any intent once so ever to make a "new app" for ff14.

They were going to do a smartphone app that would at least let you chat in the linkshells and FC chat but we haven't heard from that in forever so it might be dead or still in the works.

So, kinda like the World of Warcraft Armory app then? (Though it's more like a mix of what you mentioned plus Libra Eorzea.) That would be neat.

Blizzard no longer actively develop it, just bug fixes when they break it with game updates.

When I was still subscribed to WoW, chatting with guild members and friends with the app. And since it requires an active subscription to use it, I deleted it from my phone a very long time ago.

I second this lol. Was really disappointed with it.
