What's faster doing the old relics in ofder to skip new fate grind or new fate grind?

New fate grind. I honestly got through the first two steps fairly fast. 7-8 hours over two nights for the fates required for the first step and then you just have to run some dungeons for the second step.

Novus to Nexus grind takes 200 Ifrit normal mode clears, 30 seconds each + entering and exiting duty finder. Add in 18 dungeon runs during Animus stage, many of which take longer to solo than running them with a duty finder group, and 18 specific FATES, some of which you may wait an hour for. Then add in thousands of poetics you'll spend on the animus books, Zodiac quests and mahatma gems, as well as alexandrite maps if you choose to farm 75 alexandrite in one day. (All of those poetics could have been spent on the NEW relic 210 quest).

Just suck it up and eat some 3.0 fates, maybe level a new class from 50 to 60 while you do it.

1. Open party finder menu
2. Create party with just the word "Crystals" and the F.A.T.E. icon.
3. Go to area.
4. Profit.

Fates are faster by far. Even with unfortunate rng, my friends and myself were able to complete that first anima step with in 3 days. I am just on the animus 3rd book atm and after looking ahead for the following steps and even with the nerf, the Zodiac quest line seems like it will never end to me. XD

This entirely depends on how RNG favours you. There's no guarantee that you will ever get a crystal drop from the fates so in theory it's possible you would never complete the fate grind if you were unlucky. There were enough reports of this happening during the atma grind to know that it DOES happen. The people above are going by their own personal luck with RNG, it doesn't mean you will have the same experience. For most players it will be faster to fate grind, but whether you'll be lucky enough to fall into that category...

The new fates for crystals is certainly faster. On the other hand, assuming you're dealing with multiple jobs you want to level I've found it's fun to go for the zetas. You're still getting leveling xp for the process, and you end up with pretty sweet glamour.

New fate grind. I did a 2nd relic and it took 3 hours and 40 min to finish the whole fate grind for new relics.

New fate grind. Done in a day. The first relic will take way longer lol.

Fate grind, unless you really want that Zeta Zenith achievement, armed to the teeth, or to buy glam copies.
