I gave up making my groups because i would always get someone who didn't read the "practice" Or "Learning" bit in the comments so on our first wipe they would rage at us because we do not fully grasp the mechanics of a fight and i clearly label it as a training run but they still join expecting instant clears...

Group 1 doesnt help group 2 or 3

Group 2 players are hard to find because there are so many group 3 and most group 3 players believe they are group 2
    Sooo what am I?
    I am group 1/2?
For me I gotten to enjoy raiding a lot and I bash my head into new content ASAP and clear pretty soon and farm. On the other hand I have a semi casual raidteam and am somewhat the right hand of the leader due to his time and my determination and experiance. I cleared Thordy in week 2 in a PUG. I cleared A3S in a PUG.
A big part of me is helping others to learn and understand raids. To help clear and progress. I rarely say no...
According to that post I have no place in this raidsystem lol

It's hard because people don't want to take the time to teach people. It's a grueling task sometimes simply because people learn at different paces and in different ways. It all boils down to patience and time though, most of the people who have the patience dont have the time and most of the people who have the time, dont have the patience.

Those people deserve to be laughed at for not maintaining a basic level of awareness, not to mention literacy.

Don't let them stop you from learning.

The problem is a combination of 2 things:
    1. If you have cleared it then you handicap chests drops for other players. It's a deterrent for people who have cleared to go and help out newer people.
    2. We are very late into the tier-cycle, so most players who have had interest in learning have already been in and either cleared or given up.

Yea the problem is it demoralizes the entire group because someone is being toxic in chat towards these players who are trying to learn the fight, it is stressful enough learning your role in the fight without someone flaming. Thankfully a swift kick vote sorts them out.

One solution to the problem is, of course, story mode. At least you get to see the content.

My own opinion: Folks who are into raiding in an MMO need to recruit actively from those who have not yet completed the requirements seen in many Party Finder announcements. If one does not actively encourage folks to raid by providing them a chance to do so with someone who has experience, there is no way in heck I can seriously support the call "we need more raids".

(Yeah, I know. I've only done Turn 1 on the First Coil as my only 'raid' so far in game. I'm not personally interested in raiding myself, but if I see an active community being supportive of new raiders I am all for more of the same. If it becomes a clique, meh.)

But hey those select few groups who raid want it all to them self for ego sakes soon we will have dps metres like in WoW....then raiding will suddenly go down hill...Hell you even need stupidly high Ilvl for some of the really easy raids now.

Savage is not designed for everyone to enjoy, and you should not reach the conclusion that raiders disregarding newer players is wrong. That's extremely one sided and presumptuous. It's not hard to get someone situated into a fight if they are new to the fight. It is hard to get someone situated into the fight if they don't have the ability to perform in that fight. I've taken at least three players through AS2 who had never stepped foot in there within one or two raid nights. That's not complex. The key is very simply practice.

No one in my group wants to carry someone. That's just a pain in the butt. We're totally fine with working with other players if they're actually motivated and capable of working with our strategies. Experience or no

Sad to say, you're still group 1. Even if you enjoy helping, you're still only one person, and one person does not a raid group make. I jump into learning groups all the time but my advice alone isn't going to get them a clear.
Unless I suppose your raid group regularly carries 1-2 people every week through locked content out of the goodness of their hearts. Who does that though?

As for the OP there is something to be said about being just super stubborn, especially as a new player with fewer social connections. I cleared Thordan EX 3rd week or so just hopping into PF learning groups nonstop and since then shadowed the path of a now-friend who struggled to get his Thordan EX clear.

He would just set up PFs day after day, sometimes they would fill, most of the times not. When they filled he would FL the people he liked and invite them to a Thordan-centric LS he made. I would join his groups sometimes and give people tips on phases whatever, and months later he finally cleared. He didn't really have FC support or anything either, just a lot of dedication and maybe spite. But now a lot of people know him and he has a raid group and such. Unfortunately the OP picked a pretty terrible time in the patch cycle to try to progress, hopefully they have better luck in 3.2.
