Also the new dummy system coming in the next big patch might actually help with this issue as well.

IRL? What's that? Sounds dreadful!

I don't really get how the majority of groups in party finder have an "experience required" status on day one of the update for things like new EX trials by the time I get home from work. The ones that don't have the typical members that disconnect, leave after one wipe, or otherwise start fights with each other. I don't know how you're supposed to make any progress in party finder when half of them want experience you don't have and the other half clearly shouldn't be playing a group-based game given their behaviors.
This wasn't an issue for me when I had a nice static back on Famfrit, but I don't have the predictable and regular schedule for things like that these days on my new server. It just feels like anything not in Duty Finder means it's just not going to happen for me.
Glad you find your first raidish friends
Good luck and keep on helping other and asking for help.

I had a similar problem after moving to a new server and having not made progress. Out of boredom I started making A1S learning parties. Sometimes it filled, sometimes it didn't, but the times it did at the very least we got to experience the first few phases of the fight. Through them I ended up meeting the same group of people and eventually we ended up becoming a sort-of static with people coming in from other statics to help out ours.
Long story short, just take the initiative to start something. Chances are, there are more less-confident people out there waiting to find similar people to work with them, and even if it doesn't happen right away, taking the time to actually try will yield more results than never trying.
Yeah, exactly. It's not a process that often happens in one day. Whenever I'm late to content because of a break I took, I'll just set up learning parties. If they don't fill, I'll add the people that joined to my friends list or linkshell. Eventually it will fill, and I'll just keep at it. You can do all these things yourself, it just requires initiative and networking. I'm never going to wait around until a group that has a clear will take me.I had a similar problem after moving to a new server and having not made progress. Glad everything worked out for you, TC!

Solebound, I can't tell you how happy I am to hear how things turned out for you!
Now pay it forward. When you look back and see someone struggling to come up, remember where you started, and at least offer to help them.![]()
