Why is so hard for newbies to learn how to raid?

Every time i try or want to learn how to raid/extreme primals, the barrier of entry is extremely high. I finally got my gear high enough that i want to do end-game content, but when you look on the PF, people want experience way past what you can do. Want to do A1S? Nope sorry need experience no bonus allowed. So how else am i suppose to get experience? I don't want to join people's PF if i have no clue what I"m doing, that would be disrespectful of that person's time. Even when i try inside my own FC, no one wants to do it or if you try and coordinate something they forget or don't respond. Its just getting a little frustrating because i think i will be locked out of content for 3.2 as well.

I see people try this all the time on the weekends while stalking PF for pony farms, but they rarely fill up. Specifically for A1S they never usually get to more than 3 or 4 people.

It's barely even a band-aid. A lot of people make these recommendations, and while they are nice in theory, in practice it doesn't always work as well.

I feel bad for anyone trying to learn RavEx now, it's basically impossible in PF and whenever I've farmed it in DFI liked the look of the SCH book, okay!, people get hostile to new and inexperienced players quite quickly.

The problem is a combination of 2 things:
1. If you have cleared it then you handicap chests drops for other players. It's a deterrent for people who have cleared to go and help out newer people.
2. We are very late into the tier-cycle, so most players who have had interest in learning have already been in and either cleared or given up.

As I have begun to do on my server for content I have not yet completed and wanted to do the answer is start your own Party Finder and put the right note in the message for people to read. Examples: Looking for help to clear Garuda EX, bonus tomestones, learning the fight. Or Learning/clear party for A1S. Or something like that depending on what you are looking for. I found that the lure of extra tomestones for those working on their anima worked really well and I have found a lot of good people on my server willing to help out from time to time.

So yea, take charge and make your own group. SHould not be too long to fill up and then go smash hard stuff with it. ^_^

I gave up trying as well. I want to try AS1 but nobody wants someone without experience and so I stopped trying. Wait for it to be in DF and then get a good dose of patience. My former FC didnt bother with new to that part of the game, savage, as they felt since they had a static they didnt need to have more and the rest could either find a way themselves or just wait for DF...yep it exists....dont worry, just start your own PF and have patience lots of it and eventually you will get there

Exactly my experience ( especially the FC part ) since alex savage dropped. Make a training PF and it will never fill up or people will leave after few wipes. Because of it, i took couple months break because honestly its rather depressing.

I came back 2 weeks ago and decided to try again to learn A1S and Thordan Ex and saddly its even worse. Now people dont even join, AT ALL.
I guess Thordan Ex will be the first Ex primal ill have to skip...

I see 'practice' group all the time in PF O.o There is a lot of new people learning and practicing that way.
If you don't see those on your server, you should start one yourself, and maybe help others out too! :3

Because all of the people you see in the PF are past the learning phase themselves and want to push for a completion, not repeatedly fail on mechanics that 7/8 people in the group have themslves perfected. It's completely understandable. Just start a group for yourself and then people who DO need experience just like you will eventually join and you can get your practice in.

Basically the general idea is to create a learning party in pf until you don't cause anymore wipes / are tired of wiping, then you create a clear party until you're tired of wiping, then you create a clear for one / farm party until you're tired of wiping, THEN you ask if you can join a no bonus farm party and lie saying you've seen enrage and final phase, then you get your clear.

I'm joking of course but it does feel like that's what happens a lot.
