Look at the difference between the textures of one of the THREE egis, and one of the BILLIONS of minions :
That's not acceptable, Garuda Egi needs a better render.
Edit : my minion looks really dark, but in game it's the day and the night between the two of them in term of textures quality. Laughable.
Inb4 people who will still defend the poor quality of the egis.
You are using a very unflattering picture in an attempt to "win" the argument, and do not even consider a few things about the two: There is at the minimum a 2 year gap between when Garuda-Egi was created and Midgarsormr was. All three Egi's have fairly decent models the only real problem I see is the low res texture (which I suspect is part of what allows the shifting glow of her and the others to work) on the flat surfaces of Garuda-Egi.

If the egis textures are too old, then they better redesign it.



Most of the stuff in the game has bad detail even armor when you zoom in. Also how often would someone actually zoom into their egi? There is no point to it. Most of the time your camera is zoomed out and detail looks fine from a far. I'm not saying the detail is amazing or anything just that zoomed in detail which you will rarely see during combat doesn't really matter.
So far most of your arguments hardly hold any weight to why they should waste resource to make something look better when they could spend that time elsewhere like actual content. Also seems quite a few people so far have said they like the current egi.

Actual content? You mean like LoV and Diadem that no one uses? At least a huge majority would like the Egi upgrade. c:

There are people in Diadem actually have you done relic? A item is required from there. Some people are farming spoils for tier v materia for 3.2. It may not be many but there are people doing it and they are gradually making adjustments to Diadem.
