Housing inventory limit concerns... Major Bummer for Medium & Large!

Player housing inventory for Small houses is just about perfect 50 spaces seems entirely reasonable. However you get into a Medium house with only 50 more spaces and well over twice the floor space, then moving up from a medium to a large you're increasing your space almost 3 fold and yet you only get another 50 slots.... REALLY??!!

I just purchased a large house for 83.6mil and I should only get twice the space of a small...? Yet with the gardening plots I can have 3 (3x the space of a small...)

Medium houses really need a minimum of 200 inventory spaces, and larges really need 300.

Lets be a little more reasonable please. I have seen so many large estates walling off half of their basement just so they can make the rest of the house look decent.. give me a break... You invest all this gil and you get shafted on inventory space... So you're rich, but you look poor on the inside.. Seriously Square please help us out here!

Also adding my agreement. I only have a small myself, but I can completely appreciate the limits for medium/large would be hit way too easily.

Also it'd be nice if outside we could have a few more items. Small houses can only have 20 which actually is really easy to hit (hedges/plants/lamps/stones/chocobo stable all consume these 20 very easily). Even just another 10 would be sufficient for a small outside.

They've already confirmed they'll be looking into upping the limits on all house sizes. I don't remember if they said it'll make it into the upcoming patch or not though.

im assuming they are going to do a major housing patch alongside the Ishgard housing area, which will come when Dragonsong War ends.

I can actually tell you that 100 items for a small cottage is too low if you're like me & make some awesome furnishing combos (such as setting a royal partition inside a half-partition or putting a tabletop lamp under each corner of a canopy bed & having the lights in the house low/off). And considering the vast difference in floor space between small & large, 200 items for a mansion is drastically underestimating the interior decorators of the game (especially when you consider just how much housing stuff they've added to the game since housing was first implemented).

I have gotten REALLY creative with my mansion so it doesn't look empty, but usually I'm juggling with the last 3 furniture slots of my house to make things work... as more furnishing is added, I've had to remove tabletop items, leaving lonely tables that were otherwise decorated with food and whatnot.

My basement is also pretty much a bar/sauna place, but I've had to sacrifice ideas like making an extra entertainment or VIP room because there aren't just enough slots... my basement has just 3 big rooms, that's it. Because just trying to partition it properly will take you about 10 slots off... horrible.

As a long time owner of a L, I've pretty much given up on trying to make mine look "filled" because the item limit frustrates me each time. Really am hoping SE eventually does something about this though.

I'm totally behind this, yea I'm satisfied with small housing inventory really no change there. When it's comes to large housing....completely different story, I made a lounge and pub in the basement of our FC house which took several slots but I still find certain areas where I had to leave a bit more empty so I could have slots for the main floor. I'm still in the middle of decorating because I'm trying to come up with ideas where other rooms don't have to suffer lack of furniture to furnish other parts of the mansion. I've come to the conclusion that I'm going to have to block off one of the upstairs rooms to fill other parts of the house. The same can also be said for outdoor furnishing, huge yard yet you are allowed only 40 slots....

    Agree!

The floorplan of a medium house is 6x4 squares as you can count on the ceiling of each floor. Minus the area of the staircase obviously. The floorplan of a large house is 10x6 squares. Again minus the staircase give or take. Just by eyeballing that, all floors of a medium house fit into one floor of a large house. That results in a large house being 3 times the space of a medium house, mind the eyeballing. Then again a medium house can take 150 pieces of furniture while a large can take 200. To decorate a large house in a somewhat equal style as you could decorate a medium house it would require 150 x 3 = 450 items. That means to make it fair it takes another 250 items. The equation is clearly not in the favor of house owners. One would have to calculate how that looks in comparison with a small house... might do that later tonight.
