Best way to farm endgame raid gear

    Hi guys,

Well I finally got my black mage to 60. I need to now to do the Heavenward quest but been told I need to have an average of 142 for each piece of armor. I am shy by a few points on hat, legs and feet.

I have been through the library several more times to no avail and going to the boards the prices people are asking for are beyond a joke.

What is the best way to find 142+ pieces?

    Thanks!

You can buy NQ i150 gear at Azys Lla. I highly recommend replacing NQ gear ASAP though, since NQ gear is complete garbage stat-wise.

    I second that...
If you need some ilevel to enter the first level 60 dungeon
Go and buy azys la stuff
And you will quickly get i160
=> farming those will give you tomestone of law and eso which will allow you to get i170 and i200 stuff
(And do not get a little accessory ! Aim for the i200 weapon... The lunaris staff !)

The higher ilevel you get the more you will have new source of tomestone
The best will be unlocking Alexander raid
All i190 set with no limitation (and good stat for casting)

Get Azys Lla gear with npc's droids near crystal so that way you'll be able to enter lv.60 dungeons.
Once there you can get casting pieces from Neverreap and The Fractal Continium to improve your iLV armor
and be able to get Idylshare gear w/ laws.
Once you get Idylshire armor (ilv170) you can aim to get Alexander Normal gear (A1-A2)
iLv 190 and unlock the Void Arc (iLV 175) to get casting gear iLV200.
Also don't forget to unlock the lv.60+ dungeons (aka Expert dungeons) once your armor be iLv170 to get esos and get your Artifact Armor iLv200 which you can improve to iLv 210 with Void Arc drop.

Thanks guys. How many times do you think I will have to do the level 60 dungeon to earn enough Tomestones to qualify for Alexander?

With roulettes and new player bonus, maybe a dozen times?
(I'm assuming you're going to go in this order of unlocking: Aetherochemical Research Facility -> Singularity Reactor -> Neverreap/Fractal Continuum -[grind until you can unlock] -> Pharos Sirius HM/Saint Moc - [slight grind until better geared] - > Alexander Normal/Void Ark)

If you can, I highly recommend supplementing with hunts. A-ranks are plentiful. If you aren't in a hunt linkshell, ask around and try to get into one. Most are pretty interlinked with other hunt linkshells, so whatever's called on one linkshell is often repeated on other hunt linkshells as well.

Thats a good workflow by the sound of it. If you don't mind me asking what is a hunt linkshell? I haven't used linkshells so far, heard of them but not used one. Is it similar to GC hunts?

It's basically a type of chat channel that players can make and invite people to.

Linkshell are generally created for a singular purpose, mostly since the Anima Relic was released they are used as a way to notify those within the specific Linkshell as to their spawns. It's just a convenient way to track particular information between players, really. Since Linkshell have their own specific channel, it is easier to communicate without muddling other chats like FC or the Shout. Generally you'll see the hunt being called if you are in the zone, but if not you would be notified through the Linkshell and know to port to whichever location the Notorious Monster has spawned.
