Small Server Raiders Unite!!!

Hello!

I've been struggling with an issue that I feel like a lot of you are probably having similar issues with on small servers. And that is having people to raid with who's motivation and skill sets match your own. And I'm not talking about some elitist "I'm better than everyone else and it's not my fault that we aren't doing better" garbage. I mean seriously putting effort into learning the class or classes that you raid with and in learning the content so you can perform to the best of your ability in every second of every end game fight. I mean, there are very capable and skilled players on smaller servers but, generally speaking, there are very few if any groups comprised entirely of all these players. So because of this (and because of countless failed attempts at finding a full set of 8 players who can push content and push their classes) I'm trying to unite some of us small server tryhards under one banner.

So this is where I have to do a bit of a recruitment pitch because that's going to mean talking people into transferring. And transferring into a group of people that will most likely be based off of some numbers online and some back and forth between me via email, skype, teamspeak, mumble, whatever (this is initially speaking of course). With that said, there are some things I can promise you and some things that I can't. I can promise you that the current lineup of players I have do perform as billed. Which is at the top % of their classes. I can also promise you that I will be making every effort that I can to make sure that we have a full team of players like this. Because one, it wouldn't be fair to the other players in the group if not everyone was held to the same standards by themselves and by everyone else in the group. And because two, the better the group is the better things will be for me. So if you don't believe my speaking of wanting to help other people succeed believe me when I say that I want to succeed!

The main thing I cannot promise is a guaranteed raid spot prior to transferring unless there is AMPLE amounts of evidence going for you before you transfer. I also want to point out that toxic attitudes will not be tolerated. So if you perform excellently but you do so with an attitude that others in the group deem as toxic this attitude will be treated the same as under-performing. And that is you will be given a chance to improve and if you do not do so you will not be welcome to raid with the group. I also cannot guarantee that this group will be up and raiding in any sort of timely fashion. The main focus of this group is going to be getting the aforementioned type of players. If it can be done in a few weeks that'll be amazing. But I'm expecting this to take time based on all my past raid and small server experiences.

What incentive would there be to uproot oneself from a familiar community and spend money to transfer to another server to possibly play with unknowns, all while knowing how fragile and unstable static compositions and scheduling can be?

I'm aware of what I"m asking and that's why I was very skeptical to put this up in the first place. I would definitely want to go over schedules and expectations/performance BEFORE someone transfers. I'd only be asking someone to transfer if they felt really comfortable with the decision after talking with me about all these variables that you mentioned. And if everything lines up I'd be willing to discuss transfer fees. Just don't want to advertise to entire servers that I'll pay for anyone to transfer. Because I can't do that

This is a huge ask and I'm going to be surprised if anyone takes me up on this because how big of a leap of faith it is...and how unlikely it might be that someone who would be interested in this would even be checking these posts on the forums. Just figured I'd take the chance. If nothing else people spend a few minutes to read my post and think some guy on another server has unreal expectations and goes about their day

And the potential implementation of cross server raiding would remove the need to transfer entirely. There's just no time frame on when that will be implemented that I'm aware of. So this is what I have to offer in the mean time.
