Blame RMT....?
Okay, I can understand you would be upset, but really, shouting abuse at SE isn't going to magically unlock character creation restrictions. They're actually there for a reason - the servers can only handle a certain amount of players logged in at any one time, Balmung is the most popular NA/EU server in the game... hence why it's almost permanently locked to new character creations.
All you can really do is create a character on another server and then transfer them across (it's how I got on Balmung myself - I was originally on Ridill for many years including 1.0, and transferred to Balmung at the end of 2014.).
Otherwise try creating a character during the server's quiet time (very early morning US time).
Balmung is one of the busiest English-speaking servers. Don't blame RMT, blame other players.
WOW, raging, screaming and cussing about a server restriction.
Oh yes, please yes come to Balmung.![]()
I hear that writing in all caps is a really successful way to get people to take you seriously.
Have you ever tried to play BnS as a f2p? Go ahead, make a character on Mushin and let me know how logging in is for you.
The first week for me, queues were over 8 hours just trying to get into the game.
Squeenix is trying to balance their servers to let in fewer new players during peak playtimes to prevent this form happening to them. Granted their capacityopularity ratio is a lot better since they use a much less involved but more lag-robust combat system that allows for bigger servers, all games run this risk.
Squeenix is doing this for the health of the servers.
