Need/greed/pass etiquette

Personally I think Need if you plan to equip it upon winning, Greed otherwise. (Or pass if someone specifically asked for it and people are being nice)

I'll only Need for seals if someone else starts that first (ie a level synced role needs on a obvious non-upgrade)

In dungeons that drop crafting mats, typically its always Need (since everyone can)

If you participated in a dungeon/boss/whatever, you have the right to need/greed on the loot. Wether it is an upgrade, glamour or hand-in for seals, it's up to no-one to jugde if you "deserve" to roll on it. You've done your part in the fight, you deserve a chance on the loot. Only your job defines if you have more chances to get it than other party mates, therefore you can sometimes need on loot. If someone asks politely if the party can pass on something specific, then of course it woud be a dick move to ignore that. Other than that, all yours if you can get it. Nobody has the right to harass you though if you get a loot for either a hand-in or glamour just because that guy wanted that piece for an upgrade. As I said before, you all participated in the dungeon, so everyone deserves the loot, not just the guy that "really needed" it.

The only time I expect someone to flat pass all items is if I help them with a win. For instance if we are carrying you through extreme primals free, just to be nice and get you wins, pass. I feel its rude to get carried through content and then take the loot.

Oh yeah, forgot to mention that. It seriously pisses off most people when the new one who got basically pulled through the content gets the rare drop, so be nice and pass in that case^^

Kind of the same even if you aren't new but not contributing in the slightest.
Just remembering countless Titan EX runs always with 4 people on the ground the entire fight who, of course, won the pony in the end, makes me shiver..>.>

Yeah exactly, participating as in not tasting the grass and contribute to the party, not just being logged in and get the party bonus.
So both can be said, as long as you participated in the duty, you can roll as you like, but also if you are getting a clear of something, be polite enough to pass on the loot if your party happens to bring you along in their farm run. I had people joining us on X-primal pony farms for clears and nothing hurts more than seeing the guys who got carried and facing the floor winning on Nightmares...

Greed everything, unless you need it.

Pass if you can't get another (because unique), it's a 24-man loot lockout, or someone asks for the item.

Remember, you can pass after you roll greed/need. But you can't greed/need after you pass.

I160 jewelry and armor desynths are my main moneymaker, and the ltw drops are worth 920 seals. Greed it all; 9/10 it hits the floor anyway.
