Why not put housing plots on mog station?

If the reason for limited land plots is server costs, why not break down the costs and charge money for plots via the mog station? It could even be done as a monthly or yearly rent.

As long as the plots couldn't be resold for gil, it would clear up the serious issue of buying and reselling houses. And in turn, it would clear up the normal wards for people who want to buy a house with gil (especially once new wards are released)

The fastest way to make gil in this game at the moment is to buy and resell property. And when people are using 3rd party programs to notify them, it ruins a chunk of the game for a lot of players. Making it possible to purchase plots via the mog station would help fix this.

And while I understand the whole apartment thing is supposed to fix the problem, a lot of people will still want their own yard, in a ward, with easy access to a marketboard and retainer bell.

While I'm sure your intentions are well placed, I know the majority of the games population would be upset over this, myself included. Housing should always be something that is payed for out of our sub and Gil alone.

Shroud of the Avatar is doing that.

It's a catch 22. Some people love the idea of this, but a lot of people are voicing their displeasure on having to spend money (IRL money at that) on a game.

Worse: on a sub game where you already are paying to play the game.

The logical answer would be that they need to sit down and try to budget a bit of funding on upgrading the server infrastructure at some point to make it more stable to accommodate the housing request. But you will find a lot of people will get angry if a feature in a Pay to Play game is put on a cash shop to bypass the work they did to get the house with their funds and beating the rushes when the lots became available.

There's no easy answer to this. They just need to put their boots on and fix their infrastructure. It's simple as that.

Yeah. I wouldn't put housing on the market per se, but it may be worth putting some unique items on that you may not be able to get in game without a LOT of work (for example, the mog house façades). Sure, you can get them in game if you collect the materials and such, but you could also pay to get them too and I think more people would pay a couple bucks than would spend all that time gathering and crafting. Would be interesting if you could give your house more unique looks too with different architecture, like Sharlayan, Dravanian, etc.

The answer to satisfy both is easy:

There should be enough plots that you NEVER have to use Gil or Real Life Money.
If they add such a system it is ONLY ok if there is an ABUNDANCE of free plots. It becomes a lazy shortcut, and that is OK.

But if they added it now? HECK NO. We shouldn't have to pay SE extra for their faulty system.

This is why I think SE should introduce Personal Apartment for players who can't obtain a housing plot and don't want to be restricted to a FC.

Inn rooms are decent but does not provide the customization option players want.

Personal Apartment would be easier to provide customiable rooms for all players and would not require a plot instance like housing which currently serves mostly to limit the amount of housing in the game.

I'm not one to usually put someone's idea down like this, because I never feel right doing so, but putting housing behind cash shop is a terrible idea(And this is coming from someone who adamantly supports cash shop)
