Thank you Rjain for expressing concern.

Reading the posts here, I see that my experiences have shaped my thoughts in a massive schism here.

Without getting into too much detail on my background ~ different cultures, different upbringings, net different perceptions. None of the cultures are superior nor should be held on a pedestal. Positive and negative views can be drawn from any culture.

wow, why don't you gtfo of your fishbowl, i think your getting to used to swimming around in everyone elses blood sweat and tears. they don't need money, the only cost that is different then it would of been is the fact that they gotta pay for servers, witch by the way are all empty so in reality they only need a few open ..but they want to save face by not doing so yet. no other costs make sense nor should be any different, they say they need money, but if they launched when they should of the game would of cost the same ...right or am i mistaken? otherwise they are saying it was possible to just close up b4 it even launched cause ran out of funds, and if that the case they then for sure launched early to take box sales(obviously) and then try with the odasity to take monthly's.

the next year your bout to hand them money cause people are just willing to pay for beta, companies don't need sympathy and that is what yoshi is. they work to hard then they need to stop working so hard. simple as that. so take that bullet and point it at your fishbowl cause the smell or your feces is filling the place.

heres a time line (game gets developed) (game launches)

ffxiv time line (game gets semi developed) (game launches) (more development) ..the cost is where? in the development, having to start over or not, is no different then them scraping a project and doing another one at worse no?

i understand that but what your talking about is after launch, they don't make money till that time so really it's all lose making the game, that is the part that is no different.

what is really being said is any mmo can just launch when not ready, then charge us for development. when really the game would of spent all that money, then launched ..then made it's money back. this year and next year you might as well say it is pre launch cause it shouldn't of launched right? so this hole cost in reality is the normal cost of making a mmo. yes they changed stuff and w/e but if this was all done prior to launch it's the same cost. if not had launched early they would of been forced to either scrap the hole project or just keep funding it. right only real cost to them that is "Different" is server costs. that is all.
