Lol... alright if you say so. I just happen to care about people. I prefer to see people happy and healthy than depressed/tired/sick. If you think that's strange... .. well I can only laugh at that.
I don't need to know someone personally/be friends/be related to someone to feel badly for them when they are ill (or something) because I know how it feels, and it SUCKS. I don't need to know someone to show compassion for them.
Man I hate that mentality... "Why care for someone you don't even know?" Hmm, I dunno.. Maybe because they're a human being too.
Everyone deserves compassion.

It has nothing to do with caring about people you don't know. It has to do with posting about wanting your game dev to look "happy and healthy" like he's some pet you need to find the right diet for. A comment like that is just WEIRD, along with a dozen others in this thread. It's like some kind of odd, stalker-ey, cult-ey, fanboyism. You have no reason at all to think there's anything wrong with his health or happiness. So he might not be getting enough sleep. Welcome to 98% of the world's population, Mr. Yoshida.Lol... alright if you say so. I just happen to care about people. I prefer to see people happy and healthy than depressed/tired/sick. And even if there was something to maybe worry about, a lot of these posts take it so far over the top it's insane. People posting they're actually worried he might DIE? Really? REALLY? Talking about steps his supervisors should take? And you know they haven't taken them how?
Sorry if this comes off as cold, but when you have the OP saying absolutely insane stuff like "these guys are literally putting their lives on the line" then I think that's worthy of a reality-check.

Again, whatever you say. If you want to make it out to be weird and creepy when it wasn't, go right ahead. You're only making me laugh harder. I don't get how some people can turn innocent compassion into something twisted.
I'm out 'cause this thread has just devolved too far for my sanity to stay intact. lol

This he had to say during the massively interview:
Last but not least, has the development team had trouble keeping up with the pace of patches, since we've been getting a large patch every two or three months over the past year?
Yeah, it's been really difficult. It's probably been most difficult on me because when I start going, I never use breaks, just keep going. We've gotten a lot of worried comments from players saying, "You're going to burn out," but actually, we're doing pretty well. Because it had a lot of content in it, the last patch was tough for a lot of the planners, but a lot of them also came to us and said that they wanted to come in on Saturdays and Sundays because they want to release as much content to the players as possible. We want to get that out because we know the players are looking forward to it, so we didn't really mind coming in on weekends to get things done.
The biggest thing to keep in mind was that it wasn't me telling the team to do extra work; it was the team coming to me and asking for extra work, to make things better for the players, and that made a big impact on me. Yes, because of that extra work, there were people who got a little burned out, but we got through the patch, and a lot of those people are on little short vacations resting up for the next patch.
The schedule that we've laid out is what we're working to meet, and we've had it laid out for a long time, far in advance. That schedule has been made to meet the abilities of our development team, so it's not like we're doing something that's beyond that schedule. Meeting it has not been as difficult as a lot of people have thought, so we're not getting burned out -- this is pretty much what we had planned. So far we've been able to meet this schedule with a lot of success. So don't worry too much about us -- we're making it.
But myself, I'm really tired because I'm always working. (laughs)

I worry about humanity because just looking at this forum day to day makes me want to vomit at the douche baggery. The devs are doing an AMAZING job and I really hope they look out for their health. I also hope they know the large amount of horrid people posting on the forums here don't represent how most of us feel.
Its like hey, lets take a nice and thoughtful post and then crap all over it the best we can instead of just letting it be a nice thought someone had.

The Dude is doing an office job, you need to get over it. It is very nice of you to be concerned but he will be just fine. It's crazy how people nowdays cry about been over worked while sitting at a desk all day. Look at the farmers who wake up at 4 AM and work their ass off all day (physical work) and go home only when dark. Now these guys have a right to complain about exhaustion and yet they don't.
Same thing for nurses and doctors, and a million other jobs that are way more stressful and probably pay less. The Dude is doing an office job, you need to get over it.
