Thread: Patch 3.2 Trailer Discussion

It does seem, at the very least, that Emmellian and Artoriel will finally take a larger part in the plot. Artoriel did sort of in 3.1, but he was overshadowed by Aymeric, in both gameplay and story.

I'm actually hoping we see more cracks in Artoriel, like we've started seeing in Emmellian. I mean, his dad goes on and on about how wonderful Haurchefant and Aymeric are and how they are ideals to live up to, but he was helping too. What credit did he get?

Emmellian kind of comes off like a brat, but his problems can be easily fixed. When Artoriel breaks, though, he's going to absolutely shatter. I don't mean this in a cruel way, but from a character-development perspective, it will be incredibly interesting.

Though honestly, at this point, I think Aymeric might be giving us a run for our money as the purest pure purity in all of Eorzea. I'd be interested in seeing a few more of his failures and some darker aspects of his personality as well.
