I suppose a pre-revelations thread revelations thread could be in order.

• Going on the offensive to take Sephirot out before he can officially escape sounds like a good plan; catch him groggy like Diabolos. I really like how you can see his control over nature exhibit itself in the growing trees and grasses in the arena. I'm wondering if that's why the Triad statues in Azys Lla suddenly became mossy. Will they take on other traits after he's defeated and the others awaken? The way he dies mid-fight and is reborn larger might give some hint as to how an extreme version can exist with no summoners.

• The hints about the costs of war transposed over us standing averse Raubahn and Thancred punching the younger Fortemps seem like they might be headed somewhere interesting, even if it's not exactly what it looks like.

• Lot of new mobs just in time for the new bestiary reference guide's release. Nothing like a good stress test, I suppose! As XIV tries to strike a balance between celebrating FF history with mobs everyone enjoyed and not just rehashing old things, I've been eagerly awaiting the return of Sea Horror. I think I see it there, by the Dirty Eyes ... but is it a voidsent!? (Also new gana, new groundskeeper, FFXI beetle, FFXI magic pot, possible new skatane, a very lucky spriggan, and what appears to be lots of new golemized structures, aaand "Calcabrina"...)

• The goblins have access to Voltron technology. That is all.

• Dyeable Coil 1/2 gear. So good

• MUSIC - SO - GOOD.

Soooo. About that whole 15 page Minfilia-the-martyr thread. . .

I'm hoping that is aimed at Alphinaud and the Dragonsong War, personally. Estinien seemed like the kinda guy who understood that, and would gladly die to put Nidhogg down, meanwhile Alphinaud is coming across as someone who wants to save Estinien, no matter what...

Also, Raubahn fight... Please let that be an unwinnable duty like we should have got in 2.55, it would be a nice confidence boost for the poor guy... Still waiting on Godbert to add Slot Machines to Gold Saucer and model them on Raubahn lol...

Was there ever anything about Amdapor having Time Magic? Seem to remember something like that, and Lost City seems to be taking us back in time to when it was still pristine... First boss also seems to clone players.

Think I might have my Alexander Four Fiends reference, too... One of the sections seems to have a robot, and it seems to be the long hallway with four platforms... Then the final boss has them joining together... They're even Blue/Green/Red/Yellow for Water/Wind/Fire/Earth... Spiked floors, giant ball of death, moving battlefield, seems they're also making it seem more like the environment is just as much an enemy this time, too. Kind of looking forward to it now.

Gnath dailies seem to have a Gnath teaching the Knights at the Convictory about their Dragon-repel smoke.

Aside from Raubahn's appearance, I'm curious about that white space behind Aymeric. It looks like a large cloth. To me that means its an unveiling ceremony of some kind, maybe a memorial or a mural commemorating something?

Also the fact that Aymeric's ears have changed shape.

The Training Dummy in Stone, Sky, Sea is a Primal summoned forth by adventurers' desires for good DPS.

Could 'Raubahn' be Ilberd in disguise? Given that they look somewhat similar and he's wearing a helmet?

Yet there's raging flames nearby which suggests that it isn't really a regular sparring match at all - but rather something more sinister. Granted I can't think why he'd betray us unless the WoL's interests no longer align with our own. I've often expressed a desire for the conflict with Garlemald to be more morally dubious than it is already so perhaps they'll force us to put down many Ala Mhigans for going too far in their quest for vengeance against anything remotely related to Garlemald, including civilians/non-combatants?

How does one disguise a missing limb? Fairly sure it's just a sparring match, he needs a confidence boost after what happened... I guess Ilberd could be so dedicated to his cause that he'd chop off his own arm...

I'm more incline to think we're seeing the aftermath of some Grand Company/Nidhogg conflict. The floor appears to be icy, so it's in Coerthas? Flames as a result of Dragon fire, and after the conclusion to 3.0 you'd expect the Immortal Flames et al to now get involved with their allies conflict. Raubahn then turning to us and sparring because he still feels weak after the battle.

Kind of hard to place the ground though... Could be an entirely metaphysical encounter and we're not fighting Raubahn at all, just a trial in his image because Hydaelyn is twisted. I'm incline to think it is a part of Coerthas though, and a Dragon battle is the only way I can place Raubahn there, plus it explains the fire.

Yeah, that XI Kraken seemed a bit out of place. If he's not named Sea Horror, Onzozo, or Charybdis I'm going to be extremely upset.

The Magic Pot is a good one, though. I'm surprised it wasn't used earlier.
