So many people say. Personally I believe that it didn't fit at all - and that it was, perhaps, just a stray experiment to try out a new style of music. Type-0 has a lot of 'rock' music and it's awesome. Lyrical rock, however, can very easily just come across as noise - especially if the quality of the singing is dubious. Out of game, on the 'enhanced' version, it sounds more tolerable - but the in-game version lacks the same bite in my opinion.

Even with the little we hear of the tracks in the trailer I already know I'm going to love the new Lost City theme, Antitower's theme and the FF6 inspired track for Sephirot. I'll be even more excited if they include a nod to Calcabrina's original theme too.

Aw, love you too. I was actually having a hard time trying to decide on the best example, but that was one of the songs that really turned me on to nasal chanting in general, so I added it for my nostalgia's sake, more than anything. I'm a huge GUST fan in general, though, so you can't go wrong with any music from them.

It'll be interesting to see how it all plays out. Come to think of it...if Aymeric is hosting a major speech then there's a high chance that Raubahn will be there. We see him inside a circle of flames somewhere frigid in the trailer - so I think we can safely assume that it's Western Coerthas. I also wonder if Nidhogg will show up to launch a surprise assault - since the Dragonsong War is apparently heading towards its climax. If they wrap that up in 3.3 I can see them using this patch to have him do something nasty as a cliffhanger only to have us deal with him directly in 3.3.

...but there's also the matter of Thordan's sympathisers to deal with so it's just as likely that they will strike if they sense that the time to do some real damage is upon them. They can't really get vengeance on the WoL...but they can, at least, target the WoL through their firmest supporters in Ishgard.

OT but Ar tonelico? On MY FFXIV forums?! I never thought I'd see the day. Who knows, maybe we'll have a Shikata battle track at some point? Please make that happen, Soken! Shimotsuki would be fine too!

On 3.1 when we saw Aymeric being stabbed, everyone thought he was going to die, but it end to be nothing. This is the same case with Raubahn.

Also the rain in that scene... Coerthas (at least the highlands) is a frozen wasteland and yet somehow it is raining. It is the only time we saw it rain there since the start of 2.0. People even speculated it might have been a flashback based on that. Unless the real message in that scene was that the temperature is rising in Coerthas, snow would have worked just as well in that scene (if not better).

Three words: Snow Means Death. Since they intended for Aymeric to survive, they used clearly rain to avert this.
