    If we're talking about things we'd like to see added I'd be happy to offer some Quality of Life improvements.

    * A Glamour Storage Tab/Collections, where every item you acquire can have it's appearance stored, and used later when applying glamours to items. Heavensward added a lot of interesting gear, and I'm running out of space with my Retainers!
    * Remove Cleric Stance and allow Mind to affect the Damage of Healer Damage skills.
    * Adding Leviathan-Egi, Ramuh-Egi, and Shiva-Egi to Summoners.
    * Allow Scholar-Hunters to add a flag to your map for Monsters you hunt as part of the Weekly Elite Hunt Board.
    * Add new Housing Wards. Seriously, I understand you like the idea of a finite amount of housing, but the game's player population has jumped significantly. At the least base the number of Wards around the population of a server.
    * Add Red Mage already. Complete the Holy Trinity! Make it a Mage Tank if you want, completing the Holy Gaming Trinity too. A smattering of DPS and Self-Healing for enmity with some parrying and the various en-spells would make it a great tanking class, if done right.
    * Open up Ishgard for people whom have not completed the 2.5.5 MSQ. It's in the Eorzean Alliance again, yes it's a little odd with chronology, but it puts off new players eager to try the new jobs.
    * Add base classes to the new Jobs and sort them into the Disciple of War and Disciple of Magic Categories. This is just my OCD flinching everytime I see them removed from the other classes/jobs. Mercenary -> Dark Knight, Engineer -> Mechanist, Seer -> Astrologian. Something like that.
    * Make certain spells/skills automatically adjust for level. So if you're a level 60 BLM going into a Level 16 Dungeon, your Blizzard III becomes Blizzard. That, or just let people cast higher level spells in lower level dungeons.

    Literally all that's happened is add color options to gear that's still race and sex exclusive. That's it. I cannot suddenly wear the Miqo'te skirt as a Lalafell, be it red or some other color. So none of the exclusivity of these pieces is lost, they are still race and sex unique.

    SE has good ideas , but the results are sometimes not what players expect:

    Gold saucer , chocobo racing , Diadem , PvP , FC workshops , even Hunts (but i think we can blame 50% devs 50% players on that) , oh and dont forget Crafting and gathering , Anima quest , and Alex Savage .....im sure there are more but u get the idea.

    the point is that all that is barely touched or if played ppl despise it while doing it , and just do it because it has a reward that they want not because is "fun" , interesting or engaging....

    However i think SE will iron out the issues , they are working on it , we got some really good QoL changes in 3.2 , just being able to see cooldown timers on skills , 3.2 is step in the right direction .

    A lot of the ideas really never seem to get off the ground. I really have to chalk it up to resourses. I can't real ly see them thinking thats how diadem should have been for example. It's like they started making it and then had budget cuts and had to settle with instanced hunts.


    But Yoshi does seem to put his head in the sand and see what he likes though. His comments like "I would hope the players play fair or how it's intended" regarding things like triple triad tournaments and other stuff make me want to throw a bucket of cold water in his face and tell him to wake up.

    Actually since this is story related I thought I'd just point out that the echo hasn't been dropped and infact HW has added new lore to the echo and how it works including confirming that the Ascians also have the Echo and revealing that each person's echo is different (we don't have the same abilities from our Echo as Krile).

    Further the issue with Moenbryda was actually explained in the quests at the time. The reason the WoL cant just pop out a Blade of Light at any time is that the first time we did it we have Hydaelyn feeding us the Aether to create the Blade of Light. Since we cant just call on that much power from Hydaelyn at will (particularly since it seems to cost her strength) we had to develop a method of gathering sufficient Aether from the surrounding area to create the Blade.
    With Moenbryda she used the Aether created from the moment of her death to fuel the device, effectively using her life force to create the Blade. The second time we do it we use the Eye.


    In all cases the actual process wasn't directly linked to the echo. I suspect they are purposely leaving the development of the WoL's echo and its particular strengths on the shelf for the moment. After all they need to have new things to develop later in the story.

    Just to address some of these:

    - They have already explained the issue they have with a glamour storage tab/system. Its something they are going to have resolve at some point but they have outright said they aren't working on something like this at the moment. If that changes I suspect we will still not see anything for quite a long time. It took over 2 years for World of Warcraft to implement its Wardrobe system from when they first mentioned they were working on it.

    - I think they aren't doing this for balance purposes. Cleric stance demands a trade off. As it is if they just removed Cleric stance and made mind effect damage healer classes would still suffer a 10% damage loss unless they baked that in.

    - I expect other primal egis eventually but as glamours. They did say they were working on a system.

    - New Housing Wards are coming in 3.3. Ishgardian housing and a new apartment housing system coming in 3.4 with the ability to grow plants in apartments/private quarters.

    - Any new Jobs will almost certainly not be added till the next expansion. They take a lot of development work.

    - I don't see them going back and retroactively adding classes to the new Jobs for the same reason as you are unlikely to see classes removed from old Jobs. Its a hell of a lot of work for little payoff.

    I didn't say "exclusive," I said unique. As in, now that they can be dyed, they lose their unique appearance. It's the same as when we got access to augmented AFs, and they lost their uniqueness. Certain things should stay undyeable.

    That's the dumbest thing I've ever heard.... You can just keep them undyed if you like their appearance.

    They really should force us to have the undyeable versions, though. They should draw a line and say "You don't get to have everything you want 100% customizable." The more they cater to us, the more entitled we feel and the more we bitch at them when we don't deserve to.

    Thanks for the answers! A fair bit of that I wasn't aware of (such as already having a stance on a glamour tab/collection). Something like the 10% DPS increase could just be baked into MND or even through a talent, like Mend and Magick. An Ishgardian District and improvements to house are good to hear, but I feel like it won't really address the problem, since housing is still per character rather than per account. Though I freely admit that I know nothing about the stress it would put on the servers to add more Wards.

    They added Ninja during ARR, so it's not impossible they'd add a job during the expansion. Just extremely unlikely. And yeah, I get that they wouldn't add base classes to the three new jobs. Not much point.

    Conversely, it took Guild Wars 2 less than 2 years from its launch (August 2012) to release a wardrobe system (April 2014). I can't seem to find anything earlier than March 2014 for any sort of announcement.

    I still cannot fathom how having the ability to make things more individualized per person results in less uniqueness? i.e. Say 100 people have the Miqo'te skirt. Currently, they are all red. In the patch, maybe 40 will be red, 10 will be yellow, 15 will be green, 25 will be blue, 5 will be pink and 5 will be white. Those 5 people with white miqo'te skirts are certainly more unique than they were previously being the 1 of 100 people in red skirts. No?

    Like the only way I see what you're saying make sense for it being more unique now, is that it's unique in the sense that you cannot dye it. That's not a very good way to be unique.
