That CP comparison is not exactly a fair one, as CP is restored to full automatically upon changing to a DoH or upon completion of whatever you were crafting.

Still, it would be very nice if non-gathering classes had a very high GP cap that they could regenerate to. This "need" will only become more and more pronounced the more GP that people get. Right now, people are pushing over 250 more GP than the base, not counting food. Add in a few more levels of Gathering gear, and that will become 300 more than base, then 350, then 400, and so on.
