OK, um. Go ahead and switch over to your DoL class. I'll wait. Now unequip all of your accessories and items that give you additional GP. I'll wait. Now look what your max GP is. I'll wait. Neat math, huh? See how you have 400 maximum without anything equipped? It's all right, I'm sure you just overlooked it.
What he means is that the cap for non DoL classes should be higher so that it can regen to full while we do other things instead of sitting there on a DoL class waiting on GP to regen to your gear cap. It would make it possible to always swap over to a DoL with your max GP and can start gathering instead of waiting a minute for GP to regen first... it's annoying and it would be a nice QoL.

Yeah, and you're both wrong, because the cap for both is 400. The gear that you equip on the right side adds the extra GP, it isn't inherent on the DoL class. That's like saying he should retain stats from equipmemt he isn't wearing for other classes. My level sixty miner with no accessories equipped has 400 GP. If I equip a ring that gives +25, I now have 425. I need to regen 25. Because I'm not wearing that ring when I'm a different class. Any GP over 400 is from the equipment you change into when you swap to your DoL class, there can't be a higher cap because nothing you wear on another job increases GP.

They could just give DoH and DoW/DoM a hidden GP stat that is higher.

That doesn't even make sense. The entire point of the equipment is to increase the class' GP. You're saying that they should just increase it and do away with the equipment, then? I still feel like you're missing the boat on the whole thing. Think about when you switch from your Miner to your DoW or DoM job. See how you have to regenerate all that HP? It's because of all the bonus Vitality on your gear. It's that way for a reason.

the currently system are fine! just be smart think ahead change gear a min before or use Cordial and you will have no problems anymore.

They already have a hidden GP stat, 400. That's what I'm asking for. Increase it to above a geared DoL's value for non-DoL classes so that the DoL can begin full on class change if they waited long enough to regen it all.
How does it do away with the equipment? DoLs still need the gear to increase their max. If you change from a 60 to a lv1, notice how your HP is full? Now change back to the 60, and before the first tick you have the same value as the level 1 had. That's how stats work. When you change to a class with a lower max the rest gets lost. Right now when you change into DoL, you're going low to high. You're stuck at the low cap and need to regen the rest, but unlike HP or MP this is a stat that's heavily time-gated. I'm asking for a change where the switch to DoL is instead going from high to low. You lose any excess, and begin with a full bar, provided that you have filled up that much.
