Immersion be damned if it means removing teleport. lol

Oh, forgot to answer the question about wanting more teleport points.
The answer is: ONE.
Just one. Lower La Noscea. Don't EVER make me walk to the area around the Dodo & sheep farm again >_>
Smaller settlements than that one have aetherytes! Why not this one? It's such a long treck away from any teleport point, and when you have to go there, it's usually before getting your own chocobo as well.
That always bothered me...

As someone who played a lot of WoW until a few years back: pretty much all players did literally everything to get around travelling times, including exploiting support features like the "unstuck" command (which was then changed as a response to this), (ab)using the dungeon port-stones and having their home location set to somewhere that had portals to the most important places in the world. Travel in WoW was boring and time-consuming, and you often just hopped on a flight-route, and alt-tabbed out for 10 minutes to do whatever, especially because flight routes took needlessly long, scenic routes - which was nice the first or second time, but got severely annoying after the next dozen times. It was the same with flying mounts - you basically just toggled auto-run and went afk for a few minutes. Same for the air-ships, ferries, and whatnot. I think some people just have serious rose-tinted retro-goggles about shit that MMORPGs did 10 years ago.

She tells you that she has an aetheryte in her Mor Dohna shop that lets her teleport to Idyllshire, that was in 3.1. In 3.0, she had to presumably walk and she complained how much of a pain it was.
Or perhaps, she is just still there in Revenants Toll due to the pre-HW timeline and being available for the quests where you need to talk to her for.
Straight from the mistress's mouth. She can go between the two areas at will, even if you don't physically see her teleport.Originally Posted by Rowena

Only saves me a short walk to the one outside, but when you're busy as I am, every minute o' every hour o' every day matters.
Back to the teleport immersion thing. I said it before in the past and I'll keep saying it; it's nice to walk through the big open world the first few times. The next several dozen times, you seen everything, you know where everything is, and you have little time to waste going through the scenic route over and over. That feeling of being immersed with the world quickly loses its appeal.
I kind of liked how Dravanian Hinterlands didn't have any aetherytes in the zone to teleport to, and your only options were getting in from Idyllshire, Coerthas Western Highlands or Dravanian Forelands.
Maybe that's why I like that zone so much, aside from being a temperate highland area (which fills that hole in my heart of missing 1.0 Coerthas dearly) and the music.

I dont want FFXIV to be unpopular again like in 1.x times. Teleports are good as it is.
