level 57 miner , how do i gear up for present content and beyone

Sorry if this question had been repeated before, but Im very close to level cap for my min, and recently got into the crafting/gathering scene. I find a lot of enjoyment in the DOH/DOL classes. I spend more time doing this in game than anything else.

What i wanted to know as someone who didn't have BiS gear from ARR what initial gear should i be aiming for once i hit 60? From my understanding i can get gear through the red scrips systems, but what do I initially use because that system is locked at 450 scrips per week. Also what sites are you guys using to calculate what stats you need to reach the cap for your gear until you can get the gated gear from Roewena?

I have read many guides to help me understand many of these confusing systems (to me , not you you veteran gathers and crafters) especially Mithrie, and Camie's well thought out guides on ffxivrealm, but sometimes i don't understand the information until i put it practice. (I'm a visual learner)

I just unlocked aetherial reduction last night and am trying to understand how in addition to this skill how unspoiled/empherial/collectiables nodes work as well as how /blue/red scrips work.

I find a lot of this information is overwhelming and leaves me a bit confused. Should i wait until i hit level cap and just get all the red scrip gear? i know that the stat that i should be aiming for at the min require 500 gp/668 gathering/662 perception and want to meld the gear i get appropriately until i can get BiS gear.

(For a bit of background i have a 57 min/51 botanist/12 fsh, and my DOH classes ranges between 30-42 been leveling through the use of leves/gc turin-ins everyday making sure i get HQ or close to it and ixali dailies. my leves are currently on recharge after power leveling my btn to 51 from 36)

Initially at 60, you'll want the i140/i150 white gear for both DoH/DoL. Lightly melded it'll get your DoL to most content. ( not folklore unless you heavily meld)

DoH takes heavier melds to get to 2-*. But still possible whithout red scrip gear.

Honestly as long as you have the whole 55 crafted set
You're fine until 60

Maybe upgrading tool when you're lv 57 and 58

But don't bother farming blue script outfit
Save blue script for the folklore books

1* is not impossible to have once 60 with the 60 set light melded

Then either fully meld the i150 set or wait for 3.2 new set that should come

To answer your questions about reduction, its mainly a source of sands for most 2-star gear, secondarily for crystals and clusters.

I did start with fully pentamelded BIS ARR gear so I really have little idea about the mid 50s stuff.

But once I hit 60 my goal was fully pentamelded crafted gear and the red scrip main hands. Did it too. Basic reasons, hoping to future proof stats and 700 GPs with cheap vendor GP food. I don't belive its possible to hit 700 GPs with the red scrip gear no mater what you eat.

The post below is what I posted in another thread. For anyone who wants to start doing blue scrips (56) you can go to moghome and buy all the field gear (55 dhalmelskin) NQ and the main hand. Then with either the titanium or (mythrite) sledgehammer, 600 GP and perception/gp food you can begin gathering blue scrips. Your stats will be 462(548) gather 463(457) perp. To get blue you need 417/464 w/ rotation =DE-MA-DE-MA-UC-MA-UC-MA collect one. No crafted gear needed all from NPC or quests.
One more thing full trailblazer (blue scrip gear) plus dragonskin belt w/ HQ adamantite MH + OH will make you well above necessary requirements for red scrips! So any melds/food can help you if you don't have those tools (melds in your accessories/belt) And sell mats as you go! Blue scrips for gear and tomes while getting bonus exp!

thank you everyone for your replies. I got my miner to 60 two hours after i posted this thread using the commercial manuel given to us when you first pick up the quest in uldah sending you to Ishgard. A FC friend of mine crafted me the ilvl 150 gear with melds to help me on this long journey for folklore tomes and 180 red scrip gear. just by afking in the game and watching my timers i have half the tokens to get my first book. And now i understand what most of you crafter/gathers where talking about with gear/mats gated behind the blue/red system and the long grind treadmill.

I reached 60 on DoL & DoH just about a month ago. Luckily I have a FC friend who loves gathering, so I'm focusing on gearing up crafting, while he does gathering. I think we'll both be ready for 3-star in 3.2 that way. Not sure I could have gotten both sides there on my own in this short time frame.
