So still no news of what exactly they are touching on MCH with 3.2?

Not yet. Pre-patch notes should come out Sunday which should give some idea.

Even being able to esuna I still see nobody using it. It would be better if they replaced it with something useful instead, like cease cast times under WM for some amount of seconds on a cooldown.

And MCH should be able to ONE-SHOT everything in Eorzea because he has a GUN !!!!!

So we can have peace of mind for now (laughs). I understand that you'll be increasing the DPS for Machinist, but the DPS can be pretty high right now for players with good command of the job?
Yoshida: Yeah. However, only a small fraction of people are there right now, so we wanted to make some adjustments to operation of the job to make it a bit less difficult to get that return.
Of course, but part of the image of Machinist is that it is more difficult to play.
Yoshida: The original idea for Machinist was to create a job where operation was complex, but it could be strong in the hands of a skilled player. Compared to bard, it's a step up in difficulty and intended as an expert job. However, when players look at a job which has a more complex operation than other jobs, really the only thing they are looking at is how much DPS can it deal.
And because of the difficult operation, it may not put out as much DPS as expected.
Yoshida: In this difficult state, many players think "machinist is weak," and we want to make adjustments to get rid of this negative impression. However, it wasn't really a major adjustment.
I feel like an expert. I wouldn't expect any dramatic changes to the job. Wishful thinking however.

Something something players don't know how to play MCH, something pulls low numbers because of it. Though it's not just personal dps that's a bit on the low end (with all things considered too, such as hypercharge affecting MCH itself), but overall utility is also weaker compared to BRD in a typical setting. From the 4Gamer interview:

Sounds like 2.0 Warrior again. MCH is a lot weaker than BRD and it don't matter who's hand it is in. Yoshi obviously don't want to nerf anything so he's buffing MCH. It's not like MCH is just out right weak. It can do content just fine. It's just that BRD is better. e.eSomething something players don't know how to play MCH, something pulls low numbers because of it. ayyyy lmaoCompared to bard, it's a step up in difficulty and intended as an expert job![]()
am i the only one here who thinks mch is like the easiest/most relaxing dps and that brd is a lot harder/annoying
