Not necessarily. Drk does some magic damage. Sch and ast have no miss spells. 40% over 30s is better than 10% for 10 for 5 people, in some cases. It will really depend on the circumstances of the fight.
Mch get a few things that they do better than bards that might offset their Hypercharge not being as Foes.
Mainly, their TP/MP Regeneration isn't tied to their Hypercharge. (I.e, you can do TP/MP Regeneration), then go and do Hypercharge immediately after you turn TP/MP off and get the full effect of both.
Bards can't do this, they need to decide to use their resource on TP, MP or Magic Resistance Down.
Also TP/MP Regeneration on MCH is a far less DPS nerf than it is on Bards. You don't really need to hold your CDs on MCH if you are playing a song because its not giving you a 20% Damage Down like it does for bards.

10% during 10??? its during ~30 seconds every 2 mins...with no MP cost. Foe has a MP cost...if you use TP or MP, no Foe,
To be fair, this isn't exactly hard. Very handwave-roughly, it basically means ~2 phases that entail multiple targets that can usefully be attacked at the same time. If Coil came back re-tuned for 3.2, BRD would likely put up better numbers than MCH on T7, T12, T13 and probably T10. MCH on T8, T9, T11 and maybe T6 (I wasn't around to know how quickly those adds generally died). A3S is BRD-friendly, Thordan and A4S are 3.2 MCH-friendly (gamed parses aside). I could see a 2-2 split, or 3 and 1, or 1 and 3, or 2 and 1 with a wash etc. Unless it's a 3-1 split and one or more of those 3 is a big gap, I wouldn't expect a major trend to develop.2-> If every encounter of Midas is designed for BRDs.
Not if you don't find one at least as good as your BRD, who can share the same raiding schedule, and who's someone whose social behaviors would fit your group.
In short terms: keep your BRD and buy better food and potions to make up for these 60 theorical lost DPS.
Uhm? You can swap songs with battle voice up. This is not really a valid point.Mch get a few things that they do better than bards that might offset their Hypercharge not being as Foes.

Yeah but both songs run off your MP, so if you use one you're taking away from the duration of the other. Hypercharge is just a CD for MCH, so you can switch between either one and get max duration out of both. Only Promotion actually takes MP.
But you can only use Hypercharge once every 120 seconds and it only works on one turret. If you swap turrets, the second one doesn't activate its Hypercharge.
^. If you swap turrets or your turret dies while hypercharged you just lost the CD.
