Why is the crafting window still so limiting?

oh, don't get me wrong, Garland tools is a great resource, but that wasn't really my point (I realise that my post may have been misleading), I just hate the way that the crafting process cuts you off from EVERYTHING every single time you craft, and between crafts, and it can be so frustrating to manage inventory, jobs, and to multitask. Should xiv have a robust system like Garland? probably not, but it does need to stop being obstructive

what mostly happen to me i see a recipe and miss one item so i use the new great function just rightclick and search for crafting recipe and craft it but when i switch back to the currently recipe i cant change my class anymore without close the windows thats a bit stupid in my eyes.

This exact scenario is pretty much the cause of me making this thread.

"ltw recipe needs 2 chimerical leather, cannot change jobs right now, exit, reenter as weaver, craft a chimerical leather, your inventory is full, fuuuuuu, exit, discard, make it, have to exit for a third time, change back to ltw, and finally make the item I want"
