Hi kinda new here on ps3..

So, i hear the ps3 version is gonna be dropped soon. and i dont have the money to upgrade my computer or get a ps4. i just got this when it was on sale on psn. did i just waste my money? also i didnt get HW. im guessing it wont be worth getting. sadness..

When they drop support for the PS3, it does not necessarily mean that you will no longer be able to play from your PS3. It just means that they will no longer release expansions for the PS3, nor will they make updates and changes with the PS3 in mind.

I'd begin saving up to either upgrade your PC or buy a PS4, you have a while before support is discontinued. They said they're waiting until the number of subscribers on the PS3 are at a low. It may be after the next expansion, as an estimate.

Put away a dollar a day and you'll have a PS4 in a year.

I would suggest you try the game out for a bit first unless you really want to play an Au Ra or you can get it on sale. Till you hit 50 having the expansion doesn't really offer anything extra. Once you get to 50 you will want HW.

Note that even when you upgrade your account will be the same so you can play the same character on any platform.

I been playing on ps3 for 2 years now. I have heavensward and have done almost every content available in one character or another.
Yes its worth it. Sure you may have a few latency issues here and there (mostly if there's too many people on an area) and loading screens take a bit longer. But honestly nothing game breaking, or I wouldn't be playing for so long lol

The thing with hunts is that if you're not there when people start fighting it, the hunt will be invisible on your screen. Also, if there's even one party early pulling, you kind of have to find something else to do for a bit unless you enjoy teleporting around and missing hunts over and over. Besides that the only issue I've had with PS3 have been minor things like in void ark the first mobs are invisible to me sometimes for a few seconds. Same thing with the add room before 3rd boss. Also, loading times are pretty bad.

Like other said, yeah try to upgrade as soon as you can, it really does make the game way more enjoyable. I'm personally going to be going back to pc in about a month. I had to play on ps3 for a while because my old pc died and I didn't have the money for a while to get a new one.

Edit: just noticed you were new, you wont really have to worry about hunts and void ark and hunts for a little while so what I said isn't such a big deal for now(besides long loading screens).

People blow the "PS3 problems" vastly out of proportion. It's not nearly as bad as you'll read on these forums, don't worry. The latency problems are easily worked around, and all content is readily accessible to a ps3 player. That's not to say it's not far better on a ps4/decent PC, but you won't be really missing out on much, I used to do hunts just fine on my ps3, as well, as did my fiance. She did everything up to Turn 13 in the Binding Coil raid, and all of Heavensward 3.0 MSQ on a ps3
