Abysmally low exp issues need to be addressed.

This really needs to be addressed, My character is level 33 Gladiator. This patch nerfed damage output of this class a lot to the point where it takes an average of 20 min or so to complete a level 30 guild leve was closer to about 10 min each pre patch.

For that 20 min I get around 2k exp seeing as now it takes 50k to level for a total of about 4% of your level per leve.

Something has to be done getting 4% of your current level is unacceptable. It takes about 500 mins which is 8.3 hours per level of mindless grinding to finish all of just level 33. It only gets worse as you get higher level with higher amounts of exp needed to level.

I know if you have a high level to run you though leves you can level much faster but you aren't always going to have someone to run you through stuff.

FFXIV still offers no LFG search function or any kind of search UI making it very difficult to make a group which may result in faster exp. In FFXI for example you could put up a exp LFG flag and other people wanting to form a exp party could see who was seeking party and ask them to join. So often soloing your exp is only way to go.

Overall in patch 1.19 the game still feels so grindy to level and reach the cap. The way MMO market is today most people do not consider grinding exp content. Its what you do when you get to the cap that is the real content mostly endgame dungeons, raids, bosses. The more interesting content that isn't leveling.

If people fell like they can't make much progress leveling their characters and it feels like a grind fest they won't want to play FFXIV.

But I have also try leveling in a duo. My friend and I did try to duo some leves we set it to 2 stars it was too difficult that we would die because the enemies were +3 levels, so we had to set it down to 1 star. He is a healer conjurer, and I was gladiator. The mobs would basically 2 shot him because his HP was low and AoE tanking in this game is pretty non existent. I can use circle blade my only AoE skill but he will pull so much threat from me by healing that even provoke won't keep mobs targeting me. So yea set it back down to 1 star. Now then whats worse is this actually gave us less exp then solo and took about the same amount of time.

In the end we were like screw this its just not worth it the time invested for the exp rewarded. Stopped trying to do the leves.

Leveling needs to be a lot faster then it is currently especially when solo to get more people interested in playing FFXIV. If FFXIV had a motto it would be "Enjoy the exp grind" That really needs to change.

They said they going to make it more easy next path don't worry.

Just a note in a party i got 1-40 within 5days and people are getting 1-30+ within hours being powerlevel so they need to lower the EXP but the leves are going to be fix.

We can't be playing the same game... I've yet to have a problem with killing monsters. Even fighting monsters 2,3,4 levels above me at times.
My gear is my level or a couple levels below it never above my level.

A friend and myself were out the other night doing leves togeather and we were getting a exp bones for doing them so fast was getting around 3 or 4k plus what we got from the monsters.

What level is your gear at?
What level are you setting you leves at?

Grinding boring quests for hours isn't really content but its just that a grind to make up for having so little real content. Go play any NA MMO and you will probably see you can get several levels for each play session. Usually capping isn't that hard because they actually want you to get to the level cap to experience what the game has to offer.

Speak for yourself that i play WoW what is content? doing the same boring dungeon/quest over and over and raids? sorry but level up is the most fun part about a MMO once you reach the end it's all become a job be here at this time and for this long and maybe you get what you want.

Not everyone think endgame is the fun part of the game i love endgame but level up with friend is also fun but once you reach endgame they have to be some fun part in it or it get boring fast.

The game has shit to offer even at lower levels. Getting to cap isn't the point of any game. The point of games is to have fun with them, and if getting to endgame = fun then that is your desire, and not everyone elses. Leveling plays a huge factor in any MMORPG as its the ticket to certain events. No matter how long it takes to level, it is going to be there and there will always be an easy way and a hard way to do it.

They don't need to lower the xp rates at all Zenaku, that is gonna hurt the solo players really hard and it wont take long before they stop playing at all. That is the wrong approach. The right one is taking measures against people in partys who levels are completely different e.a. lvl 50 lvling a lvl 1 player to 30.Make it so They earn WAY less xp in such a party, but dont overhaul the entire xp system because that will definetly hurt the solo players.
