Race Change Dilemma

Good Evening Everyone, I am having trouble making a decision and would like to get some more insight into it.

My current main is a male Roegadyn, and while I like the character I am a little put off by the sheer size of it (most other races come up to chest height at most). I still have the free fantasia you get for being subscribed and was thinking about changing to an AuRa.

How are the AuRa battle animations overall? I have made an alt to test it out but I am reticent to put too much time into an alt. Also how popular is the race? I have rarely seen males while I have been playing but it may just be my luck.

I apologize if I have been confusing with this, I have trouble putting my thoughts into words at times.

They must be ok, I mean on Zalera we got tons of male n female Au Ra. and I mean it, we got a lot of em.

Honestly for me its either Aura, Miquote, or Lalafell. Rarely see anything else, only one I do know of is a Roe thats named "Incredible Hulk" who actually looks the part. xD

Male Au Ra's have a silly running animation but that's about it. Most battle animations across all jobs and races are the same. Lalafell and Roegadyn hold their weapons differently for some jobs, but beyond that, its all the same.

Male Au Ra have like the dumbest run animation ever. Boosted by the swish swash of their dumb tiny tail. Other then that I like the Male Au Ra. Female Au Ra are super tiny and all look the same and all look/act like they have no soul in them.

Au Ra are pretty nice, but it's all a matter of taste. Make sure you don't get a bad (for you) sounding voice. Since battle animations are the same across the board, the emotes and voice may be your biggest concern.

Animation on emotes are alright depending on what you like. The guys are a bit rough around the edges, and the girls are dainty and elegant.

^^^^ This, so much. Glossing over the fact that I am a Xaela, but Raen guys are a rare gem of hawtness.

Though in seriousness, even though it isn't your ideal thing, making an alt to test would be best.
