Goad - the ability that doesn't exist

Apparently, Goad has been removed from the game. That can be the only reason that Ninjas never give me (brd) Goad when doing heavy aoe. This is only slightly an exaggeration. I figure I get goad from less than 5% of ninjas.

This is the case regardless of what other jobs are in the party. In fact, I rarely, if ever, see Goad being used on anyone at all.

My songs are always up as appropriate. Perhaps you can play your job as well? Just a thought.

When I play my Nin I usually goad the tank when needed, but others don't ever seem to drop down much on the TP bar.

Edit: Also, my nin is pre 50 lol.

Cause Bad Tanks use all that TP. honestly a WAR is the only one capable of dropping that much TP that quickly in big pulls, but if he is, he's bad at playing his job, 2-3 over power is all you need to hold a group if you cycle Butcher's combo among a group.

This isnt always true, WAR's will spam OP during a Berserk at the beginning of a pull. That being said they should be able to use equilibrium 2x during a pull like that and will usually cycle butchers block at the end of pacification. OP spam in berserk is really..... really good aoe DPS on a group of mobs. It also provides really good healing if paired with bloodbath. Even better in big groups when used with vengeance... enough that healers can throw out dps and kill the groups faster even still.

I always goad when I notice someone running low, but sometimes I don't notice so don't be shy and ask for it and you shall receive.

I use Goad, but I hate the whiners who act like I can use Goad every 30 seconds. I can only buff one, which is why I have a priority: PLD/DRK > WAR > other DPS who use TP.

I do play PLD and find if I get low on TP, i recover using flash to keep the hate. In long fight situation, I could use a goad but it's not critical. I never need it in a regular dungeon (unlike War who could use it in the same big pull situations that stresses brd aoe).

On BRD I use invigorate, keep my dots up, play songs etc. I use the dots only in situations where the mobs will be alive long enough for it to make a difference.

All of this aside, how is any of this "you aren't play brd right" an excuse for Nin doing their job? Excuse me if I don't join your race to the bottom.

I find that the wars that quickly run out of TP are also abusers of overpower. I have the opposite experience. Except for very rare occasions, I feel that war has near limitless tp. But when on DRK and especially PLD, the TP pool runs dry on long drawn-out fights. Even on something as simple as Trial Roullete. PLD TP can run low when MT.

I don't have the numbers, but I'm pretty sure using flash to restore TP is a bigger DPS loss than the BRD using Paeon, as flash doesnt do any damage, its much better for the party to give it to a PLD than a BRD because BRD should NEVER need it.

You AOE to around 300 or so TP, pop invigorate, AOE to around mid TP and cast paeon, and AOE until invigorate is back up, which you said you are doing, so I have no idea where you even need a goad.

As others have said, you could always ask if there is a spare goad going around, but you should use your own utility first, as that is what others are expecting.
