Can we do something with Cleric Stance?

This is not a "HEALERS NEED TO JUST HEAL, THAT'S THEIR JOB!" or "HEALERS NEED TO DPS AND OPTIMIZE THEIR JOB!" thread.

I was doing Expert the other day and had these cute little messages come up:

    Aero III Miss!
    Aero II Miss!
    Aero Miss!
    Stone III Miss!

I know we won't get accuracy on our gear, seeing as you guys took it off at the expansion, and I know you won't adjust accuracy caps as it'll also effect the other jobs, but is there any chance we can get an accuracy buff with Cleric Stance? You did it for Tank Stances.

I understand that the role of a healer is to heal, but as we're getting into harder content, our accuracy is not increasing. It'll get to the point where we're so far under the accuracy cap that we have no choice but to heal 100% of the time.

You guys are so against people lowering their iLVL just to meet the accuracy cap, well, healers are doing the same thing.

I'm pretty sure they said they're doing something in regards to healer accuracy...

Hmmm. I'll try and find it.

The response they gave was they'll add it back on in later patches if needed. So we'll probably see accuracy on healer gear again in a few weeks.

As for the comparison between Clerics and tank stances. Tanks got it because they need to hit things to do their job. It was also to promote tanking in tank stance since it would make hitting the cap easier. Healers didn't get it because they don't need to hit enemies to do their main job.

Honestly with the mess they made of accuracy in 3.0 it seems like it would be a better idea to just remove it, but then due to the current secondaries we'd just get three gearsets at each ilevel with the different combinations of stats like we have with weapons right now since they no longer have accuracy.

All in all they won't let us get to the point where healer's can't DPS because they miss 70% of the time. I honestly just expect a repeat of the 2.x series, so the accuracy is coming. Then we'll lose it again in 4.0 and get it back in 4.2.

They said they would if it looked again like the need was there. ...but that was before announcing raid/tome gear will be meldable and I'm betting they'll excuse themselves out of adding it "because those interested can meld it now".

I do believe accuracy was on all of the 2.0 gear, and then they increased the weights on stats in 3.0 to account for it, along with needing the accuracy caps outside of hard raid content. Likely just a bad RNG roll, but again they'll be adding it back I believe in the new wave of gear for Healer. On a side note, thank you for using all of your skills.

I totally agree. It's very frustrating spending the MP to cast spells only to have them miss constantly.

Assuming it doesn't show up on 3.2 gear naturally, healers will be able to meld accuracy onto tome and raid gear. That being said, 15 slots at 12 accuracy per, I am not sure if 180 would be enough

I am also waiting for relic stats to be customisable. Heavy Accuracy + crit and melding onto new tomestone/raid gear should make it easy to get to accuracy cap as a healer.

But with the potential of being able to meld 55 materia onto tomestone/raid gear, 3.2 should be the patch where healers can get to accuracy cap for raids.

According to this post here, forbidden melding will apparently be unavailable for gear that isn't crafted. Thinking positively, I guess we could enjoy 18 slots at best (2 per weapon and armour slot, 1 for belts and each accessory).

On the other hand, if you have several Gil capped retainers... I guess you could start Midas with fully crafted and melded gear?

I honestly hope Midas healing requirements are on the level where healers that meld other then healing based stats will suffer. Healers should not be having to meld accuracy.
