Glamour Suggestion/Wishlist Thread

I have never wanted to change my Miqote to a different race, but ever since the beginning of this game I have been obsessed with the female Hyur gear, especially the boots! I want to suggest and hope that one day it will go through, that all of the race specific gear can be shared between any race and sex. Hope that there are other players that share this same idea. <3

I'd actually like more updated or common outfits you see today, not so much blue jeans and flannel shirts but I could be alone on that one.

glamours based on today's fashion

I hate the current shirts and pants because for whatever reason they thought it would be a good idea to make everything in game baggy and 3 times the size of my character. Not to mention the hideous puffs on most sleeves and thighs.. I would like modern clothes. Some jeans and t's that fit snug on my body but not ballerina tight. I would like a hoody or slim jacket. something like this..

tl;dr tighter clothes or even better, modern clothes. Stop with the oversized stuff n puffs.

This game is set in a neo-medieval/early-industrial-era world (with some slight technological innovations), and thus the setting for this game simply would not allow modern fashions without looking horribly out of place/anachronistic (and before you pass judgement, yes I know we have Lightning/Snow's FFXIII costumes and Cloud's Advent Children outfit as glamour already which are modern/futuristic inspired, but they're also nothing but fanservice and look downright stupid in a world that still uses wooden sailing ships for long distance travel.)

I'm all one for more glamour but please, it's best to keep it within the game's setting and story (to get an idea about the level of fashion in Eorzea if you were not already aware of it take a look at some of the npc women in Limsa Lominsa and Ishgard - the former wear dresses from the mid 1700s and Ishgard's noblewomen wear Elizabethan-era gowns with a henin from about a century earlier). If you want to wear modern outfits/costumes, you should play a modern or future-setting MMORPG - FFXIV does not take place in such a world I'm afraid.

A /visor option for more headgear would be nice. I don't like the mandatory face mask on the Iga Zukin, and I'd have expected toggles from more goggles. I like the level 1 weapon skin idea a lot, too.

As for more modern/futuristic clothing, it's not outside the realm of possibility -- look at the stuff Alphinaud has been wearing since his introduction. His jacket-thing has a hood attached, although he rarely uses it. It's basically a hoodie. If that's the fashion in Sharlayan, then who's to say we won't see more of it?

Don't forget, it's also very likely we'll see some FFXV collaboration event at some point. It's a safe bet that Noctis and Luna's outfits will be available, just like Lightning and Snow's were for the FFXIII events.

Gear (that aren't rings) that have the sigils of the Twelve on them (you'd think the new PvP gear would have that)

Also Still want something simialr to Lightning Returns' Crystal Silence/Dark Discord shields...unless rainbow shields are somehow too modern for this setting.

Hi all - Quick question on Glamour (not sure if this is best place for it but I didn't want to make a new thread as my first post ^-^~)
I got the Lightning Armour from the mog station and wasn't aware that glamour existed etc and thought it was pure cosmetic as Im new back to the game and it didn't exist when I first started playing - I know you need to get to lvl 50 and do a quest etc - my question is
Can I Glamour the looks onto more then 1 item at the time - say at lvl 50 when I get the ability to do it, then again when I get lvl 60 gear (sooriginal Armour and 2 'copies') or would I need to use the de-glamour item on the lvl 50 gear first then re glamour on the lvl 60 gear?

Yes you can glamour an item as many times as you need - each time requires a consumable item called a glamour prism which is lost when you glamour the armour (the original piece of equipment is not lost), and you can copy that item's appearance as many times as you want as long as you have enough glamour prisms to do so. You can also overwrite an existing glamour with a new one too, or remove it (this requires a specific item to do so though).
