I would argue that leveling is super slow. There is no tools for making parties and unless you have some big group of friends playing FFXIV you really have no choice but to solo. Leveling definitely isn't fine. I would love to join a party and get more then 6k an hour which i get solo from leves. My linkshell usually has nobody on it most of the time or maybe 1 or 2 people if lucky to catch someone on (indicating you should look for more active players to play with as well), so that really isn't an option to level fast.

All the people that have like a bunch of level 50 jobs probably did it with a set group or a linkshell. I find it hard that you would solo all of that. I been playing since the launch of the game and still haven't yet to get anything to 50.
I would have to disagree, I joined two separate parties last night, going from R43 to R46, and only had one friend with me during the second party. Based on your statement, you've never really tried to look for a party outside of your LS, which you said usually only have 1 or 2 people on if you are lucky. So your argument of leveling is super slow is somewhat biased.

I agree that the current party search tool is not as convenient as it should be, but it is no where near "no" search tools. One of my party last night, which was started by a friend of mine, we had 2 people joining the party between the time where he put up the recruit message and the time that he did his first shout. 30sec within his first shout, we had a party of 6, and it only took us 5min to get a party of 8 up and going. Although last night was faster than usual (a lot of people were trying to do the event quest, so parties filled up fast when one is being shouted), but a recruitment process for me is no longer than 30min from the moment the recruit message is up til the party is full. The norm is more like 10min or so before the party heads out.

Even if you have never been in a party, this doesn't mean you shouldn't know where to go. When 1.19 first hit, most people don't know where would be a decent camp, because mob placements have been altered. I myself exhausted my 60ish remaining anima and hopped around from aetheryte to aetheryte so I can find a nice cluster of mobs, then I would start a group and head over to give it a try (with the current spawn rate, usually a cluster of 15 mobs is more than enough to sustain a fast killing party in most cases). Even without going into such extremes, you can simply pay attention to people's shout for party recruitment, and try to write down what level range the party is and where they are heading to for exp, if they don't say what they are killing, at least you will know what vicinity their party is heading to for future reference.

If you've never seen any shouts in town (which isn't completely impossible, because shouts have limited range, try staying around the chocobo area in ul'dah, that's where most people will be shouting from), you've at least seen big parties out in the wild killing mobs, inspect them and see what level range they are, then you will have yourself a camp to go to at that level range in the future. It is not that hard to find/gather these information on the internet or in-game, you just have to care enough to find them.
