no, am pretty sure yoshi mentioned in one of the recent interviews (i dont remember if it was game watch or famitsu) that the primal battles will be removed once the game move to 2.0 along with few other things and their achievement will be locked so only current players will exprience this.you will still have your Primal Battles
Yes I have, but sorry I don't really think Yoshi's interviews are going to move copies of the game. I've tried to get my friends who have machines capable of playing the game to play. I told them it was FREE, offered them buddy passes, told them it was improving etc etc and they still didn't want to play.
On the other side I have friends who want to play but are waiting for PS3 release since they don't have computers that can run the game and they were crushed when I told them the PS3 version wasn't coming out until 2013.
If you can't convince your friends, no amount of marketing can.Yes I have, but sorry I don't really think Yoshi's interviews are going to move copies of the game. Also, marketing won't make your friends' computers suddenly run the game.
Do you know what pisses me off? The fact that I know my PC won't run the game as depicted by the concept screenshot. I built my PC last year to the recommended specs provided for the game (and it runs 'okay' at best). Now it looks like I'll have to build another one in 2013. Regardless of monthly fees, there's no way this game is worth that kind of investment twice. My gf plays the game on her laptop in pretty much rock-bottom settings. There's no way she'll be able to continue.
The least they can do is tell us what kind of hardware they're building the game on to give us an idea whether or not we stand any chance of continuing post 2.0.
Well we already know that the current game is far from being well optimized, even if it does looks nice, it is possible to produce something just as nice, using less resources. So even if 2.0 will (apparently) look better, it doesn't mean than minimum hardware requirements will be really higher. We are talking about minimum here.
It may be really hard if not impossible for SE to disclose yet what the minimum hardware requirements will be, not a year in advance. Especially when you know that having optimized drivers for a game can boost performance sometime up by 30%... So determining one year in advance whats minimum requirements will be is tricky.
Antipika.

People not willing to pay and justifying it with the reasons OP posted will find something else to complain about.
There is enough upcoming content to satisfy people currently playing and make them continue to do so until 2.0, with the promise of those events being "one time only" being an additional incentive. People who play(ed) on and off and didn't really level nor have any contacts ingame (me, for example) might not want to pay though. Especially since most people only play within their LS.
The roadmap sounds promising and all, but so did the initial launch. They also still didn't fix the alt-tab crash issue and I somehow highly doubt it will be fixed with 2.0 or any patch before that.

I'm a bit confused about this. It took one year to get to 50%, and in just two additional months, it gets to 100%? I'm all for them charging a subscription fee, it's just that logic seems a bit off."Why are the fanboys paying for a game that is 50% done? Yoshi-P said it was 50% done so he must charge 50% of the fees"
You're dead wrong...He said that by the time 1.19 comes out the game will be 50% done to "Launch Expectations" and that 1.20 will be near 100%, which means that when 1.20 (which is when the billing cycle starts), the game is at "launching condition", therefore the fees are fine how they are going by that logic.
