The fever sign on map, a certain spot and my sanity

Hello people of the night

So ~sometimes~ on the map I see the Fever mark. The thing that irritates me is that no-body is there. Now you could say "Ninja" and be done with it but other people have also seen the mark and I saw people spamming AoE's but no one appeared. I have seen that mark on the same spot in 3 different games already but no person to it?!?!

Am I being outplayed by a superior Ninja that mocks me?

I've noticed this before too, and I'm pretty sure in my case it was someone glitching underneath the map. We had an Adder ninja camping our spawn but no matter what we could not target him or attack him or even see him. It was like he was permanently under the effects of hide.

Yeah that looks like a glitch or something cus Hide has a long CD haha.

That's definitely some sort of hacking. They were using it to hop in and out of combat to avoid dying.

It might not be. It could just be a delayed icon from a death.

Sometimes the Fever/high symbol will phase in and out in the spot on which the person died while they're in the process of re-spawning. It can be caused by a couple of different things, but the number one culprit is a delay in a person's latency. If they DC for a second, or have a choppy connection, they will appear to be in the spot they died while their connection tries to re-establish itself. I've actually seen it so bad in which the person in question appeared to be in two places at once, but their name was grey-ed out with "????"

That said, there is a hack in which a person can no-clip through the map ... but when they do this they don't tend to stand in one spot indefinitely and blink in and out of existence, so I don't think that's what we're seeing here. If it's not just a delay in latency, then it seems more like a glitch. If it continues to happen repeatedly in the same spot then it might be something we need to report.

I've seen this a bunch of times. It's most likely a glitch; if it was a hack I dunno if the icon would go away like that as the hack would technically be in the same xy location.

I have seen this happening too. I think it was the same spot you showed in the video. It kept popping up and vanishing, while at the same time a Battle Fever in the caves spawn popped up, as soon as the other vanished. I was in caves and every time I got close it vanished and popped up at the other spot. When I turned away it popped again in caves, and ofc, vanished on the other spot. Happened like 3 or 4 times I think
