Server populations

Hey guys,

I was wondering if anyone knows which servers (worlds) are the most populated? I have done some digging but only found outdated stats and not sure what is current.

I am working my way through the Crystal Tower raids and the waiting time for party forming is in excess of an hour every time. I didn't know if Jenova is under populated or if this is normal for most servers?

On the Aether data center, Balmung and Gilgamesh are the most populated - with creation of new characters restricted at all times on the first and almost as much on the second. However, server population isn't going to help much. Crystal Tower is an outdated raid with no incentive for revisitation. Until they implement a reason to run these again, you'll find queues that can last for days no matter what server you're on sadly.

I have a newer alt that I'd love to get through that particular questline just for the cutscenes but I've pretty much given up any hope of having that happen.

Im still pretty new to the game, just a couple of weeks. Are the other Raids (sans Heavenward) out of date by now also?

Yeah pretty much. Unfortunately like it was said, there's no incentive to run those raids anymore except new players, so queues take forever.
When I started my new char I waited 2 days for Crystal tower..

Hello there. As a fellow Jenova player, I should at least make you aware that every Friday there is a group that runs the Crystal Tower raids for new and experienced players. It is run as an Alliance and you can just check the PF for the groups. I can honestly say that until 3.2 comes out, however, the raids don't see much action due to the only incentives being for glamour gear or obscure minion drops. When the patch comes out, I believe they are adding Allagan crafting materials to both the Binding Coil and Crystal Tower raids so the traffic will likely increase. If you are interested in the Binding Coil of Bahamut, there's usually a PF up for glamour farming, everyone likes free Poetics.

No, not at all, just that content from level 50 doesn't offer any benefits to a level 60 player and their time is better spent completing the current raid content in order to receive items and equipment relative to the endgame item level. The game according to the most recent unofficial census actually saw a larger number of players than expected. Incentives exist for the level 50 hard dungeons in the form of roulette bonuses, for instance, but there are none for the older raids. As I said, they'll be adding exclusive items back into them so the content should see more activity in the near future.

Weird thing is I did 2 level 50 Raids last night and had 5 minute waiting time on both. Weird. I did it early and gave up after 2.5 hours.

Instances that are in Trial Roulette (Hard mode primals, and most easier things) pop fairly fast still. It's stuff like coil, lv50 ex primals, and CT that aren't likely to pop.

Duty Finder is cross server within a data center, so transferring servers won't change the Duty Finder times for you.

It's a case of this raid being 2 years old with i80/level 50 gear in a world of i210/level 60 gear.
