Or a woman, depends on translation. Personally, I prefer Nael as a woman, since considering what Nael accomplished, it makes Nael all the more sinister of a character.

Uh... no. "Containment Bay S1T7" is the location where we do battle with Sephirot, the Fiend. This isn't dissimilar from how we battle Ifrit in the Bowl of Embers or take out King Thordan and his knights in the Singularity Reactor.

The only Sephiroth reference we already had was in 1.0 with Nael van Darnus. So if you did not play 1.0 of FFXIV, you're out of luck because the way the storyline had him was a bleeding Sephiroth reference.

Yes, Nael was the big reference to Sephiroth during 1.x. Not only was he the Legatus of the VII legion, he also used Dalamud as Meteor.
And he got his walk through flames

Except she's not even related to FF6, which is what this new story battle is basing itself upon. Ergo, it'd be quite silly to have her appear for the fight.

All the more reason it would be daunting if she showed up. :x Could you imagine the dialogue that NPC would have?

*Meanwhile a NPC that looks like Cloud walks up from behind....*
