    3.2 Tanks Enmity Generation, Vit or Str?

    As of 3.2 upcoming this few weeks, a huge change will come to us tanks, making VIT role up to increase our attack "potency". But still, there is one thing that requires confirmation, how about enmity modifier. For skeptical minds, not unless SE themselves confirm that VIT will be our enmity modifier, we can't be too rest assured. Because Strength being nerfed as attack modifier, it would be troublesome if they still remain as a core threat modifier.

    I could be missing something, but if this matter become a reality, we are really in great trouble tanks.

    Enmity modifiers are hardcoded into certain attacks, and act as a multiplier based on how much damage you deal. As an example, a Butcher's block combo that deals 1k damage would generate 5.5k points of enmity. As attack power will be based off a percentage of vit and str, not much will change, as far as I understand the system.

    Enmity modifiers are tied to abilities and stances, not what stats you have. The stats you have affect your damage. The enmity modifier on your stance and ability affect the enmity that attack generates.

    VIT/STR = +Attack Power
    Attack Power = Damage
    Damage = Enmity

    So, since VIT will give more AP, you can safely say that VIT will give more enmity generation.

    VIT will give AP so in turn enmity generation. However we have no idea how much AP 1 VIT will be, but I would be surprised if we do not see a dps lose come 3.2, the question is just how much.
