As long as the amount he is enjoying the game in its current form is worth MORE to him than $0, he will play as much as he wants.

You fail to take note of several things.
People that do not log into or care about Bluegartr.
People that would leave upon another game's release regardless of pricing.
People that are trying to get a bargain, but would play either way.
SE isn't forcing you to play a game you don't like. They held up their end about the free subscription period.
They have a way for the future of this game. If you don't like it, leave. But don't act like that, for a few dollars more, you can be willed into playing a game you don't like, or that nickels and dimes keep you from "loving the FF Series", ok?
This isn't the Trail of Tears you make it out to be.
If the goal for charging subscriptions is for SE to raise money, and if lowering the price could raise more money than simply charging full price, how is that it nonsense to suggest that would be a good idea? The fact that you're looking for an "argument for full price" clearly demonstrates you haven't been paying attention. If you enjoy the game enough, you'll pay full price; if you don't, then you won't.
I'm not arguing about how much SE should charge, I'm saying your justifications for wanting the game for half price are nonsense. The only good argument for not wanting to pay full price is that you don't enjoy the game enough to pay full price. If that were the case, you wouldn't be here whining on the forums - you'd just leave.
What is it I'm not paying attention to? If you have a reason, please state it. I've stated the reasons for my beliefs numerous times.
You say full price should be charged, even if it makes less money and retains fewer people, but I never get an explanation as to why this is the obviously superior approach.

I'm done with this thread, and this thread has been beaten by a dead horse... :/ You have your opinion and I have mine one way or another I'm Neutral to it all. So its pointless to post in this thread any longer. Have fun with your Financial Debacle! Are you guys even getting the economic argument about how a lower price point could possibly result in more overall revenue? Because you don't seem to be addressing that point that a lot of people are making. That's why I linked the info about the price elasticity of demand.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Price_elasticity_of_demand
Due to the circumstances surrounding this game, it is probably more elastic than similar MMO products, thus a lower price point would possibly result in more revenue.
Gamers are consumers of a product. They are subject to the same economic forces as everyone else in the world.
Which is that exact reason why your fighting to keep it that way or reduced cost
I'm done with this thread now.. I'm done beating this horse and getting no where. Do what you must
No, of course not. If you really think that this is the argument that Amy is trying to make, you don't understand her argument at all.

Sounds more along the lines of, Taking advantage of SE, Since they had a bad launch we to work around the system.
That's exactly what it sounds like to me
Dude, you're still not getting it.
The reason why you dismissed his argument was because you said that if he enjoys the game so much (because he plays it so much), then he should have no problem paying $12 bucks for it. This is not correctly addressing the reason he or anyone else would play so much.
There is no price for playing so much right now so of course people who enjoy the game even a little bit would play for more than they normally would than if they had to pay.
You think that he is enjoying the game at a $12 level, when the reality is that he's actually enjoying the game at a $5 level, but since the game is free, there is no economic reason why he shouldn't be playing the game since the price barrier to entry ($0) is lower than his price threshold for payment ($5).

I think it's pretty clear what you're not paying attention to...
While I don't agree that "being the better person" means walking away from a disagreement, the above quotes certainly show that nothing is getting through, so I can't disagree about walking away in this case. Fine. I'm done.
And this is exactly why I'm not going to push this thread any further, because your trying to take advantage of SE by its poor Launch. I'm sorry but I'm done.. Feel free to think that "5 bucks" is fair blah blah, because you havent gave me a true reason as to why it should be that way.Dude, you're still not getting it.
