Thanks! If the "Bundling" proved to be popular with players and generated the needed revenue for SE, I think they should keep it post 2.0 however, they could also drop the $5.99 One(1) Character Bundle @ v2.0 but everyone that stays will get an additional character with the $9.99 Bundle.
Hm... ya know, you may have something there. Perhaps a certain amount of flexibility is what they need to also set them apart. Another thing they should definitely do is allow us to pay in advance. For example, 3 months, 6 months, to 12 months in advance.
=D
I'd be for it, especially if it meant keeping the 1/3rd of the community (judging by forum poles) that are against paying.
I still don't know that people would really put their money where their mouth is, though.
lol now people are talking about reduced pricing post 2.0 as well? Huge surprise there.
You guys really need to calm down over the argument of whether or not YoshiP's "50%" statement is applicable to the issue at hand. It was just one piece of evidence used to support my argument.
The interpretation: "The prologue is 100% and 2.0 is 50%" if fine.
The interpretation: "The only version that matters (2.0) is 50% done" is fine too.
They both reflect the different priorities of the customer and what they believe is the product they feel that they are paying for.
The main consideration, as it has always been, is what YOU, the paying customer really feel the game is worth.
A lot of people think that currently, and for well into the next year, this game is NOT going to be worth paying $12 for.
A lot more people (in my opinion, due to the relative elasticity of the demand for this game) think that this game IS worth $5.
A compounding effect is added because I feel there are a lot of people like me who would still pay $12 so long as most of their friends stayed on to play. However, many of my friends would not want to pay $12 (but would pay $5), so if they leave, then I have little reason to want to stay anymore.

My Threads: http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/s...vBForum_Thread
guessed people would bring up where once price is lowered they want to keep it that price even after 2.0...
for those of you saying that and want that... you guys really need to grow up and learn reality...
I was OK with people suggesting half price for some of their reasons but if you gonna go post 2.0 with that... that's just ridiculous lol.
Half game, half price.
And after triying ifrit fight with all the problem that the game have (orrible game engine, more orrible lag, action lock etc. ), SE should be very happy if we all pay at least 5-6 €/$

/clap /clap Why ppl should pay for an incomplete game (with a terrible payment system btw), when really more promosing mmo are coming out? Only cause the game has chocos (finally) and Final Fantasy in his name? And i talk as FF saga fan (even played XI from usa d1 till half of wotg)[Removed by Moderator according to the FINAL FANTASY XIV FORUM Guidelines.]

It's not fair for us to pay the full price. I would be alright with paying around $7 a month and then full price after 1.22 or 1.23 are out.
Agreed. It's absurd to think that the discount should continue into the relaunch.guessed people would bring up where once price is lowered they want to keep it that price even after 2.0...

If there are any discounts at relaunch it should be based on a "buy three months, get 10% off" type model.
