    Ah ok, hmm only the red part I remember but that's it. I'll go with the theory that it isn't the mother crystal. If something was wrong with her, then there wouldn't be an echo vision now would there?

    (err my bad for going off topic, but the image with Minfillia does seem to imply that she is held captive by the mother crystal)

    As far I remember, echo visions are like taking a look into someones memories. So its always the past we see, not the future.

    In this particular scene's case I believe our character DOESN'T see it. Only we, the player do.
