They have been ever so silent about Hamlet defence makes me wonder if it will even hit it's 1.22 release mark.

who the heck necroed this post from last YEAR?

worldless model with a content finder will mean alot of people dropping out of party while in the middle of doing something like a raid because your not doing it in 5 seconds and people can act like pricks because they can get a party automaticly and not have to worry about a leader saying hell no to that person.
SE should just make a world with sandbox things in it then have different theme parks inside each zone that way the game can expand for everyone and not feel confined. FFXI, Rift pertty much had the elements of that. last thing i know i want is a queue up and wait game where 90% of people sitting in a hub city.
I think a worldless model is a fantastic idea, but it should be implemented intelligently. Large-scale raid setups like Dynamis was, or Limbus, would benefit immensely from such a system, mostly because those things are a grind no matter how you slice it. Chatter was mostly kept to a minimum in most shells I used to run with, and those that did talk were usually the most obnoxious little e-peen whores you could imagine. Worldless models would free people from the shackles of end-game shells, which would let casual players in on content that used to be the semi-exclusive territory of the hard-core.
Couple that, then, with smaller events that require you to play with people on your own server, and designed for 4-8 people. It's in dungeons like this that people really bond anyway, and that way you could still build a sense of server cohesion and a smaller community feel.
Just my two cents, anyway. If it turns into a "Join the queue" game for every event, that's going to be disappointing in my mind, but it can certainly be done with more finesse.
I wasn't a fan of this feature in WoW. It's more likely that I won't like it in XIV also.
