Thread: What Red Mage may be in 4.0

Oh lord, he's 16 years old and with long hair. He can afford to look like a little girl, considering the circumstances.

Around 24 seconds in, you can see him use "Throw Stone." I can also see hints of him using variations of Ultima here and there. Man, I'm so psyched.

I don't understand the obsession with this red mage thing. there's so many jobs out there... I will name a few that I would like to see next added in:

Oracle
Mediator
Arithmetician
Mime
Geomancer

Because Red Mage is one of the first Final Fantasy jobs and it's very odd why it isn't available in this game yet. I don't think something like Mime could work in this game though.

While on the subject of Red Mage, It's better if it was a DPS and healer, but I really do not see it as a tank, ever. (although evasion tanking is exist, that could've just been something Ninja could have)
Just because it's the "jack of all trades" doesn't mean it could be a tank, especially with the tank specific gear, it doesn't look right at all. Scholar is a healer/DPS hybrid and does it very, very well so I don't see how that's not possible for Red Mage.

Isn't Red Mages just sword mages? I think that fits the bill personally, but still no sure how they'll add this class into 14 yet with this 3 role set thing. Its just to strict to BE a redmage. Dancer on the other hand....

Many of the classic FF classes are believed to make their way to the game if i recall just never any timeline given

Though, there's a lot of craze over Dancer and people who want it in the game, especially when they gave the Thavnairian outfits and the dance.

Mystic Knight is sword mage. Red Mage is a swordsman that could cast black and white magic, but not really use sword magic.

I would doubt that SE is about to break the trinity system in 4.0 (atm SE don't have the resources to do something this radical maybe 5.0) , so i would curb any ideas of this happening
